HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve of the following alteration in the Volunteer Regulations and Regulations of the Permanent Militia, as amended in New Zealand Gazette No. 8, dated the 5th February, 1903:—

THE following special order, made by the Seatoun Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

SEATOUN ROAD BOARD.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Seatoun Road Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £500 authorised to be raised by the Seatoun Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for paying off the balances due on the Seatoun and Karaka Bay wharves, erecting shelter-sheds at Seatoun, Karaka Bay, and Miramar wharves, and putting down a groin on the Seatoun beach, the said Seatoun Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¹⁄₁₆d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Seatoun Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Dated at Wellington, this 9th day of February, 1903.

THE following special order, made by the Lethbridge Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

LETHBRIDGE TOWN DISTRICT.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Town Districts Act, 1881,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Lethbridge Town Board resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200 authorised to be raised by the Lethbridge Town Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the construction of a bridge over the Kahaurauponga Stream, on the Main Trunk Road, within the Lethbridge Town District, the said Lethbridge Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all property within the Lethbridge Town District; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid of.
I, William Augustus Davis, Chairman of the Lethbridge Town Board, do hereby certify that the above special order was made and passed at a special meeting of the Lethbridge Town Board held on the 3rd day of February, 1903, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Lethbridge Town Board held on the 10th day of March, 1903.
In testimony whereof the common seal of the Lethbridge Town Board has been hereunto affixed.
