of Ohinemuri in excess of the assets thereof on the 1st day
of March, 1902, the date of the constitution of the borough,
together with interest at the rate of £6 per centum per
annum on such sum from the 1st day of March, 1902, to the
date of payment.

  1. The proportion which shall be paid by the Waihi
    Borough Council of the inscribed loan of the Ohinemuri
    County Council of £1,348 9s. 10d., under “The Government
    Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” shall be, as from the 1st
    day of March, 1902, £515 7s. 4d., redeemable by half-yearly
    payments to the Treasury of £11 11s. 11d. for interest
    and sinking fund, on 1st day of August and 1st day of
    February respectively, until the said loan shall be extin-
    guished. The first of such half-yearly payments shall be
    made by the borough as on the 1st day of August, 1902,
    and if such payment shall have been made by the Ohine-
    muri County Council the Waihi Borough Council shall
    repay the same to the Ohinemuri County Council.

  2. Of the costs and expenses, totalling £88 19s. 5d., in-
    curred in holding the aforesaid inquiry, one-half shall
    be paid by the Waihi Borough Council and one-half by the
    Ohinemuri County Council.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixteenth day of March, one thousand nine
hundred and three.
