tikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅔d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Kilkern Special-rating District, comprising Sections part 50, part 52, 61, and part 60, Blocks VI. and VII., containing in all 207 acres, and owned by L. M. Richards; Sections parts 52, 53, and 54, Block VII., containing in all 200 acres, and occupied by trustees in estate late Major W. J. Willis; Sections 58, 59, and part 60, Block VII., containing in all 203 acres 1 rood, and occupied by John Green; Sections 56 and 57, Block VII., and parts of Section 10, Block VII., 100 acres owned by Edward Gorton and 50 acres occupied by Mrs. Sarah Harper, all being within the Rangitoto Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I, John Willoughby Marshall, Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 31st day of January, 1903, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Rangitikei County Council held on the 7th day of March, 1903.

In testimony whereof the common seal of the Rangitikei County Council has been hereunto affixed.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate. — Loan of £50, Mangapapa Road.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Rangitikei County Council doth hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £50 authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of metalling the Mangapapa Road from the boundary of Torere Township northwards to near Mr. Wilkie’s gate, a distance of about 17 chains, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¼d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Mangapapa Special-rating District, comprising Sections 29, part 32 (38 acres), and part 33 (42 acres), of Block III., Hautapu Survey District, and Sections 29, 30, 37, and 38, Torere Village Settlement, in Block III., Hautapu Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE following special order, made by the Lower Hutt Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

BOROUGH OF LOWER HUTT.

NOTICE is hereby given that on the 19th day of January, 1903, the Council of the Borough of Lower Hutt made a special rate by special order in the words and figures following—“In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by ‘The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,’ and ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,’ the Council of the Borough of Lower Hutt hereby resolves as follows: That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,500 authorised to be raised by a poll of the ratepayers of the said borough, including all persons entitled to vote on proposals to raise loans, taken on the 17th day of December, 1902, under the provisions of ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,’ for the purpose of purchasing water rights in the Belmont Stream for a water-supply for the inhabitants of the said borough, the Council of the said borough hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅓d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Lower Hutt; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and to be payable yearly on the 4th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off”—and that such resolution was duly confirmed on the 16th day of February, 1903, after the requirements of law with reference to special orders had been duly complied with.

Dated this 16th day of March, 1903.

Resolved, at a meeting of the Council of the Borough of Lower Hutt held at the Lower Hutt on the 16th day of February, 1903, that the resolution passed on the 19th day of January, 1903, of which the following is a copy—“That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,500 authorised to be raised by a poll of the ratepayers of the said borough, including all persons entitled to vote on proposals to raise loans, taken on the 17th day of December, 1902, under the provisions of ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,’ for the purpose of purchasing water rights in the Belmont Stream for a water-supply for the inhabitants of the said borough, the Council of the said borough hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅓d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Lower Hutt; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and to be payable yearly on the 4th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off”—be and the same is hereby confirmed.
