Consenting to closing Road in Hillend Survey District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of March, 1903.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by section twelve, subsection one, of “The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1900,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted, is obtained: And whereas the Bruce County Council has applied for such consent in respect to the road described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby consent to the Bruce County Council closing the road mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Native Land proposed to be taken for a Gravel-pit in Block XIII., Ohinemuri Survey District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of March, 1903.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work, to wit, for the purpose of a gravel-pit, in Block XIII., Ohinemuri Survey District: And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown: And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said land by the Ohinemuri County Council, as required by the eighty-eighth section of “The Public Works Act, 1894”:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by the eighty-eighth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purpose of the said gravel-pit, and the said land shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Ratepayers of the County of Ohinemuri, as from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and three.
