Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, doth hereby validate the said election, and doth declare that Maurice Carr Robison, John Burton Elliot, Samuel Williard Nicholls, Robert Alfred Paterson, John Old, James Rattenbury, and Arthur Gibbs, the persons declared by the Returning Officer as aforesaid to be elected members of the Mokau Harbour Board, shall continue to hold office as members of such Board in the same manner as if the irregularity hereinbefore mentioned in connection with such election had not taken place.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto has been permanently set aside as a site for a roadman’s cottage:
And whereas in the opinion of the Governor it is expedient to vest the said land in the Patea County Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof the reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in “The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Patea County,” in trust, for a site for a roadman’s cottage.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Section No. 28, Block VI., Kapara Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by the Waitotara Valley Road, 414·1 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 6, 461·6 links; towards the south-west by the said Section No. 6, 387·7 links; and towards the north-west by the Taumatatahi Road, 593·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 49378, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red.

Setting apart a Reserve under “The Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1898.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of March, 1903.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by “The Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1898” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor in Council is authorised under the said Act to set apart any specified area of Crown lands within a kauri-gum district to be a kauri-gum reserve under the said Act:
And whereas it is expedient to create and set apart the kauri-gum reserve hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby set apart the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a kauri-gum reserve, with the name set over the description of such reserve in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
WAITEMATA COUNTY.
WAIONEKE Kauri-gum Reserve Extension, 1,400 acres. For Waioneke Settlement.
Waioneke Kauri-gum Reserve Extension.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, situate in Block III., Waioneke Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1,400 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east generally by Sections Nos. 24 and 23 of the Parish of Waioneke and by Kaipara Harbour; towards the south-east by unadjudicated Native land, by Kaipara Harbour, and by Section No. 27 of the said Parish of Waioneke; towards the south-west by Section No. 28 of the said Parish of Waioneke and by a public road; towards the west by Section No. 7 of the Parish of Waioneke aforesaid and by a public road; and towards the north by the Waioneke Kauri-gum Reserve, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 93, of 21st December, 1898, page 2075, to the place of commencement: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 50077, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Roads in Tarawahi Hamlet to be District Roads.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of March, 1903.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be district roads.
SCHEDULE.
THOSE three roads in the Tarawahi Hamlet, Block XV., Christchurch Survey District, in the Land District of Canterbury, known as (1) Somerfield Street, forming the north-western boundary to the hamlet, and which extends from the western corner of Section 30 to the northern corner of Section 1; (2) Duncan Street, which extends from Somerfield Street in a south-east direction to Thomas Terrace, on the bank of the Heathcote River, forming a north-eastern boundary to Sections 28, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36, and a south-western boundary to Sections 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27; and (3) Young Street, which extends from Somerfield Street in a south-east direction to Thomas Terrace, forming a north-eastern boundary to Sections 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27, and a south-western boundary to Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of the said hamlet: as the said roads are delineated upon the plan marked R. 2608, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

WHEREAS by section twelve, subsection one, of “The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1900,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:
And whereas the Upper Ashburton Road Board has applied for such consent in respect to the road described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby consent to the Upper Ashburton Road Board closing the part of the road mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
