Temporarily reserving Lands in the Southland Land District.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Southland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 20 acres and 31 perches, more or less, being Section No. 39, Block I., Aparima Hundred. Bounded towards the north by a public road and by Allotment No. 26 (Land Transfer Plan No. 120), 1591 links; thence towards the east by the said Allotment No. 26, 1627·6 links; thence towards the south by Allotment No. 27, 890·6 links; and thence towards the south-west by a closed road now included in the said Allotment No. 27, 1772 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 49906, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged red.
