Rural Land in the Otago Land District open for Selection
on Lease in Perpetuity.
RANFURLY, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth
section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark,
Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General
in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby
declare that the rural land described in the Schedule hereto
shall be open for selection on and after the fifteenth
day of December, one thousand nine hundred and two;
and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may
be selected on lease in perpetuity only, in accordance with
the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-one of the
said Act, as it contains, or is supposed to contain, metals,
minerals, or valuable stone; and I do hereby also fix the
price at which the said land shall be leased, as mentioned
in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said
land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of
“The Land Act, 1892,” and “The Mining Act, 1898,” and
amendments.

rough. Situated about four miles from Cromwell.

Lands temporarily reserved in Canterbury Land District.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth sec-
tion of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the
Governor may from time to time, either by general or par-
ticular description, and whether the same has been sur-
veyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding
that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the
lands in the Canterbury Land District described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said
Schedule specified at the end of the descriptions of the lands
so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 3 acres 1 rood, more or less, being
Reserve No. 3594 (in red), situated in Block X., Wakanui
Survey District. Bounded towards the north by the road
intersecting Rural Section No. 33274; towards the east and
south by the Ashburton River; and towards the west by
the said Rural Section No. 33274: as the same is delineated
on the plan marked S.G. 47734, deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered pink.
For public recreation.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 46 acres, more or less, being Reserve
No. 3595 (in red), situated in Block IX., Teviotdale Survey
District. Bounded towards the north by the road reserve
along the south bank of the Kowai River; towards the
south-east by the road reserve along the high-water mark
of the ocean; towards the south-west by King’s Road; and
towards the north-west by Rural Sections Nos. 22380 and
28315: as the same is delineated on the plan marked
S.G. 49226, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District, and thereon bordered pink. For recreation and
plantation.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being Section
No. 3597 (in red), Block VI., Town of Mackenzie. Bounded
towards the north by Cadman Street, towards the east by
Levin Street, towards the south by Seddon Street, and
towards the west by Atkinson Street: as the same is deli-
eated on the plan marked S.G. 39010, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered
red. For agricultural and pastoral showground.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this fifteenth day of October, one thousand nine
hundred and two.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirteenth section
of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of
Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby appoint Thursday, the eleventh day of December,
one thousand nine hundred and two, as the time at which
the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold
by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which
the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said
Schedule hereto opposite the description of such lands
respectively
