PATEA COUNTY.

All that area in the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts bounded towards the north by Stratford County, hereinbefore described, from Koane Road to the western watershed of the Wanganui River: thence towards the east generally by the summit of the main range leading to Maungaru Trig. Station, Taurakawa Survey District; thence by the summit of the range leading to Mataimoana Trig. Station, Momohaki Survey District; thence by the track leading westerly to Watershed Road at the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 19 of Block IV., Momohaki Survey District; thence by the said Watershed Road to a point due west of Paparangiora Trig. Station in Block XVI., Momohaki Survey District; thence by the summit of the main range between the Manganui-o-tahu Stream and the Kaurarapaoa Stream, and between the Mangamingi Stream and the Kai Iwi Stream, to Pakiri Trig. Station; thence by the summit of the Rangitatau Range to Aramaire Trig. Station: thence towards the south-east generally by a right line to the easternmost corner of the Auroa Native Reserve, Section No. 7, Block IX., Nukumaru Survey District; thence by the north-eastern boundary-line of the said Auroa Native Reserve and its production to the middle of the Waitotara River; and thence by a line along the middle of that river to the ocean: thence towards the south-west by the ocean to the mouth of the Manawapou River: thence towards the north-west generally by a line along the middle of the Manawapou River to its confluence with the Ingahape Stream; thence by a line along the middle of the Ingahape Stream to the confluence of that stream with the Poroporo Stream; thence by a line along the middle of the Poroporo Stream to its source near Torere Trig. Station; thence by a right line to Torere Trig. Station; thence by a right line to the intersection of the southern boundary of the Rotorangi Block by a line along the middle of the Patea River; thence by a line along the middle of the Patea River to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 6, Block II., Opaku Survey District; thence by a right line to the said south-eastern boundary-line; thence by Sections Nos. 6 and 1, Block II. aforesaid, and the southern boundary-line of the last-mentioned section produced to Section No. 8, Block XV., Omona Survey District; thence by the said Section No. 8 to the southern boundary-line of Block XVI., Omona Survey District; thence by the southern boundary-line of the said Block XVI. and its production to the eastern side of Rawhitiroa Road; thence by Rawhitiroa Road to Koane Road; and thence by Koane Road to the place of commencement: excepting from the above-described area the Borough of Patea.

HAWERA COUNTY.

All that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded towards the east and north generally by Stratford County, hereinbefore described, from the summit of Mount Egmont to Koane Road at the northern boundary-line of Patea County; thence towards the south-east generally by Patea County, hereinbefore described, to the ocean; thence towards the south generally by the ocean to the eastern boundary of Egmont County; and thence towards the west generally by Egmont County, as described in the Schedule to “The Egmont County Act, 1901”: excepting from the above-described area the Boroughs of Hawera and Eltham.

Trustee for the Urenui Public Cemetery appointed.

RANFURLY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint CHARLES JAMES WILSON to be a Trustee, in the place of George Broughton Kyngdon, resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Urenui Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this tenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and two.

Warrant authorising the Kiwitea County Council to construct a Bridge over the Rangitikei River at Mangarere, and apportioning the Cost of the Bridge.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirteen of “The Public Works Act, 1894” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, inter alia, enacted that, in any case where the local authority of any district desires to construct a bridge in any position that will, in its opinion, be of advantage and benefit to the whole or any considerable portion of the inhabitants of an adjacent district, as well as to the inhabitants of its own district, and where it is, in the opinion of such local authority, reasonable that the local authority of such adjacent district should contribute to the cost of constructing or establishing the said bridge, the provisions in the said section mentioned shall have effect: And whereas the Kiwitea County Council has taken the steps required by the said section, and has made application to the Governor to authorise the construction of the bridge mentioned in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as “the said bridge”), and to apportion the cost of constructing the said bridge between the said Council and the Rangitikei County Council; and no objection has been made by the Rangitikei County Council to such application: And whereas the Governor is of opinion that the work should be done:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby authorise the Kiwitea County Council
