THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
[No. 85

(herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

  1. The Board shall meet for the transaction of business at such time and place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board.

  2. Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

  3. Any three members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

  4. The members of the Board shall, at an annual meeting to be held in January in every year, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

  5. The Board shall prepare and submit at each annual meeting a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the thirty-first day of December, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

  6. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.

  7. If, by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any meeting appoint a Chairman.

  8. All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

And with the like advice and consent as aforesaid doth hereby also order that this delegation shall take effect in respect of the parcels of Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being part of Section No. 56, Parish of Waitemata, containing by admeasurement 60 acres 1 rood 17 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by the other part of Section No. 56, Parish of Waitemata aforesaid, 1760·2 links; towards the east generally by Lots Nos. 13 and 12 of Section No. 2, small lots near the Village of Panmure, by the termination of a public road 100 links wide, and by Lots Nos. 11 and 10 of Section No. 2, small lots near the Village of Panmure aforesaid, 432·6 links, 729·9 links, 101·2 links, 751·3 links, and 570·4 links; towards the south by the termination of a public road 100 links wide, and by Lots Nos. 8 and 7 of Section No. 2, small lots near the Village of Panmure aforesaid, 100 links, 29 links, and 802 links; towards the west, south, and again towards the east by Section No. 64, Parish of Waitemata aforesaid, 750 links, 1591 links, and 650 links; again towards the south by Lot No. 3 of Section No. 2, small lots near the Village of Panmure aforesaid, 372 links; again towards the west and south by Lot No. 2 of Section No. 2, small lots near the Village of Panmure aforesaid, 298 links and 527 links; towards the north-west generally by Lot No. 51 of Section No. 12, Suburbs of Auckland, Parish of Waitemata aforesaid, and by Section No. 50, Parish of Waitemata aforesaid, 162 links, 1455 links, 515·7 links, and 643·6 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Also all that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being Lots Nos. 51, 51A, 55, and part of Lot No. 56 of Section No. 1, small lots near the Village of Panmure, Parish of Waitemata, containing by admeasurement 6 acres 2 roods 33 perches. Bounded towards the north by a public road, 520 links; towards the east and north-west by Lot No. 53 of Section No. 1, small lots near the Village of Panmure aforesaid, 350 links and 420 links; towards the north-east by Lot No. 54 of Section No. 1, small lots near the Village of Panmure aforesaid, 600 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 588 links; towards the south-west by the other part of Lot No. 56 of Section No. 1, small lots near the Village of Panmure aforesaid, 609·7 links; again towards the south-east by the other part of Lot No. 56 aforesaid, and by Lot No. 43 of Section No. 1, small lots near the Village of Panmure aforesaid, 596 links; towards the west by Lot No. 52 of Section No. 1, small lots near the Village of Panmure aforesaid, 950 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

As the same are delineated on the plan deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland.

Vesting a Reserve in the Akitio County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of October, 1902.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto has been permanently reserved for a site for a public pound: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said land in the Akitio County Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in “The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Akitio County,” in trust, as a site for a public pound.

ALL that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 35 perches, more or less, being Section No. 10, Block XIII., Town of Pongaroa.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of October, 1902.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS, in exercise of the powers conferred by section three of “The Counties Act 1886 Amendment Act, 1895” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), the Stratford County Council, the Patea County Council, and the Hawera County Council respectively did formally agree that the boundaries of the Counties of Stratford, Patea, and Hawera should be altered to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto: And whereas it is expedient that such alterations of boundaries be approved by the Governor in Council, and that such altered boundaries be defined in terms of the said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the power and authority conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that from and after the date of the publication of these presents in the New Zealand Gazette the boundaries of the Counties of Stratford, Patea, and Hawera shall be those set forth under their respective headings in the Schedule hereto.

STRATFORD COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded towards the north generally by a right line from the summit of Mount Egmont to the road forming the northern boundary of Section No. 17, Block XVI., Egmont Survey District, at the north-western corner of that section; thence by a line along the middle of that road forming the northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 17, 18, 19, and 20 to Darby Road, and thence by a line along the middle of that road to the Waipuku Stream; thence by a line along the middle of that stream to its confluence with the Manganui River; thence by a line along the middle of the Manganui River to a point in line with the southern boundary-line of Section No. 1, Block V., Huiroa Survey District; thence by a right line to and by the southern boundary-line of Blocks V. and VI., Huiroa Survey District, and part of the eastern boundary-line of said Block VI., to the middle of the Mako Stream; thence by a line along the middle of that stream to a point in line with the southern boundary-line of Section No. 10, Block VII., Huiroa Survey District; thence by a right line to that boundary-line, and thence by Sections Nos. 10, 11, and 18, Block VII. aforesaid, to the Makino Stream; thence by a line along the
