Special Order made by the Manganui Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Manganui Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

MANGANUI ROAD BOARD.
Special Order for Auckland Road Loan of £800.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” the Manganui Road Board do hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £800, authorised to be raised by the Manganui Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of forming, grading, and metalling the Auckland Road from the Stanley Road to the Croydon Road, to pay out of such loan the cost of raising it, the said Manganui Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all the rateable property in the Auckland Road Special-rating District, comprising Sections 51, Block X., 6, 7, Block XI., 55, Block XIV., 20, Block XV., Huiroa Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st January and 1st July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above special order was instituted on Monday, the 4th August, 1902, and confirmed on Monday, the 8th September, 1902, and was duly made in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

Copy of Special Order for Stanley Road Loan of £1,750.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” the Manganui Road Board do hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan, £1,750, authorised to be raised by the Manganui Road Board under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of building a bridge over the Makino Stream on the Stanley Road, and forming and grading the Stanley Road to the junction of the Makara Road, and metalling the Stanley Road from the end of the present metal to Mr. Savage’s house, to pay out of such loan the cost of raising it, the said Manganui Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all the rateable property in the Stanley Road Special-rating District, comprising Sections 2, 3, 4, part 8 (about 110 acres), 10, 11, 15, 16, Block XI., 23, Block XV., Huiroa Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE following special order, made by the Kiwitea County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” the Kiwitea County Council do hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on an additional loan of £50, authorised to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the construction of roads in the Ongo Riding, the said Kiwitea County Council do hereby make and levy a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Ongo Special-rating District, comprising Sections 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, Block V., Apati; 15, Block VI., Apati; Otamakapua Native Reserve No. 2a; 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 31, Block IX., Apati; 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 84, Block VII., Ongo; 14, 15, 16, 17, Block VIII., Ongo; 32, 34, 35, 36, 39, 40, Block X., Ongo; 3, 4, 5, 29, 37, 38, 43, 44, 45, 47, 48, 49, 51, 56, 59, 60, 63, 65, 69, 72, 64, Block XI., Ongo; 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, Block XII., Ongo; 22, 23, Block XIV., Ongo; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 25, 26, 28, Block XV., Ongo; 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, Block XVI., Ongo; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above special order was adopted at a special meeting of the Kiwitea County Council held on Saturday, 21st June, 1902, and confirmed at a special meeting of the Council held on Saturday, 16th August, 1902.

THE following special order, made by the Wairarapa South County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

WAIRARAPA SOUTH COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.—Loan of £300, Moroa Water-race Works.
That, for the purpose of providing for the annual interest and charges upon a Government loan of £300, raised for the purpose of completing the Moroa Water-race works (in addition to the existing loan of £3,000 already expended in the construction of the said works), this Council now do make a special rate of ⅔d. in the pound, to be payable in half-yearly instalments (in addition to the existing special rate of ⅔d. in the pound on the aforesaid loan of £3,000), at the county office at Carterton, on the 1st day of the months of May and November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, such rate to be an annually recurring one for forty-one years, under the provisions of clause (c), subsection (1), of section 59 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” upon the rateable values of all rateable properties within the Moroa Water-race Special-rating District, established by special order adopted the 14th March, 1898, and confirmed on the 18th April, 1898 (being the same area as the Moroa Water-race District, established by special order of this Council adopted on the 3rd day of June, 1897, and confirmed on the 23rd day of November, 1898).
I hereby certify that the foregoing special order has been duly adopted by the Council of the County of Wairarapa South at a special meeting of the Council held the 26th day of July, 1902, and has been duly confirmed at a meeting of the said Council held the 30th day of August, 1902, in regard to the loan described in the said special order.
In witness whereof the common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Wairarapa South County has been hereunto affixed by the undersigned, this 5th day of September, 1902.
