SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

This section adjoins the Bromfield and Bramdean Estates, near Amberley, the distance from the township by Douglas and Baker’s Roads being about five miles and three-quarters in a north-westerly direction. It consists of hilly and undulating ground of medium quality, dry in character, and somewhat difficult of access.

Weighted with £9 10s., valuation for boundary fencing. These sections are situated about three miles and a quarter south-westerly from Westerfield Railway-station, on the Mount Somers branch line, and comprise open, level land of light quality.

This section is situated on the banks of the Raincliff Stream, about twelve miles and a quarter in a north-westerly direction from the Pleasant Point Railway-station, on the Timaru-Fairlie branch line, and consists principally of river-bed land, very shingly in parts, and in others having fair light soil. There is permanent water in the Raincliff Creek. Gorse has spread over most of the area, which nevertheless grows a fair amount of good feed.

Rural Lands in the Southland Land District open for Sale or Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on and after the eighteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and two; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on lease in perpetuity, or, in respect of any land containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease in perpetuity only: and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Situated one mile and a quarter from Colac Bay Railway-station. Bush land; soil inferior; well watered.

Weighted with £87 7s. 6d., valuation for improvements, consisting of 12 acres in grass, fencing, and ditching. Situated four miles and a half from Wilson’s Crossing Railway-station. Open land; soil inferior; well watered.

Situated about two miles and a half from One-tree Point Railway-station. Land low-lying and swampy, and covered with heavy bush; soil fair.

Situated about three-quarters of a mile from Waimatua Railway-siding. Land level; soil heavy, with clay bottom. Bush land; sawmilling timber cut out; large kamai and heavy undergrowth on section.

Situated about seven miles and a half from Fortrose. These sections are covered with light bush of no commercial value. Land undulating; soil fair.
