Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Port Chalmers.

THE following special order, made by the Port Chalmers Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

BOROUGH OF PORT CHALMERS.
Special Order making Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 66, subsection (2), of “The Public Health Act, 1900,” and pursuant to the provisions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and “The Rating Act, 1894,” the Council of the Borough of Port Chalmers hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorised to be raised by the Council of the Borough of Port Chalmers under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” and its amendments, for carrying out certain sanitary works and improvements in the sanitation within the said borough, the said Council of the Borough of Port Chalmers hereby makes and levies a special rate of 6d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the said Borough of Port Chalmers, comprising Sections 1 to 409 on the record map of the Town of Port Chalmers; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 14th day of October and the 14th day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is paid off: provided that the amount of such rate on any one rateable property shall not exceed the sum of 20s. per annum.
The common seal of the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Port Chalmers was hereunto affixed in the presence of—

Special Order made by the Stratford County Council.

THE following special order, made by the Stratford County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £600, authorised to be raised by the Stratford County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for forming, grading, metalling, and bridging the Swansea Road from the Warwick Road to the Cloton Road, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 8d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Swansea Road Special Rating District, comprising Sections 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, part 34 (northern 17 acres 1 rood 28 perches), part 35 (northern 20 acres 1 rood 36 perches), 36, 37, 38, 39, 115, 117, 118, and 119 of Block II., Ngaiere Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off; the rate of interest to be 4½ per cent. per annum.
The above special order was instituted at a special meeting held on the 15th day of January, 1902, and confirmed at a meeting held on the 19th day of February, 1902.

Special Order made by the Parihaka Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Parihaka Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

PARIHAKA ROAD BOARD.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Parihaka Road Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorised to be raised by the Parihaka Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for draining, culverting, forming, and metalling the Upper Puniho Road from the Main South Road to the Carrington Road, the said Parihaka Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Upper Puniho Special Rating District, comprising Subdivision 6 of Section 7, Sections 33 and 29, Subdivisions 8 and 9 of Section 7 (said Subdivision 9 to be half-rated only), Subdivision 11 of Section 32, Section 34, Section 24 (said Section 24 to be half-rated only), Section 28, Subsections 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of Section 7, Block V.; Subdivision 2 of Section 35, Subdivisions 1, 2, 3 of Section 30, Sections 36 and 37, Block IX.; Subdivision 8 of Section 4, Subdivision 12 of Section 6, Subdivision 16 of Section 3, Subdivisions 1 and 2 of Section 4, Subdivisions 13 of Section 3, and 6 and 7 of Section 4, Subdivision 15 of Section 3, Subdivisions 3 and 4 of Section 4, and 14 of Section 3, Cape Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly passed in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Blenheim.

THE following special order, made by the Blenheim Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

At a special meeting, held on Monday, 7th July, 1902, His Worship the Mayor moved, “That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by clause 10 of ‘The Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1900,’ and clause 73 of ‘The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,’ the Blenheim Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purposes of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorised to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council under the provisions of ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,’ for the purpose of purchasing land and erection of an abattoir, the said Blenheim Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Borough of Blenheim as constituted by ‘The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900’; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of September and the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
At a special meeting on Wednesday, 6th August, it was resolved, “That the resolution of 7th July, levying a special rate of 1½d. in the pound on all rateable property on the valuation-list of the borough for the purpose of securing interest and principal of the abattoir loan of £3,000, be confirmed.”
