Waingaro Riding.

All that area in Raglan County bounded on the north by Whangape Riding, hereinbefore described; thence south along west bank of Waikato and Waipa Rivers to the intersection of southern boundary-line of Section 64, Parish of Waipa; thence westerly along said line to a point in line with the production of a line from western boundary of Section 167, Parish of Karamu, to south-east corner of Section 136, Parish of Waipa; thence northerly along said line to intersection of boundary-line of Section 218, thence along southern boundary-line of Section 62 to Whaingaroa Harbour, following high-water mark to Te Akau Riding boundary, hereinbefore described; thence north along said boundary to point of commencement.

Karamu Riding.

All that area in Raglan County bounded on the north by the Waingaroa Riding, hereinbefore described; thence south along the west bank of Waipa River to the northern boundary of the Parish of Pirongia; thence south-west by said line and western lines of Sections 301, 300, 299, 298, and 297 to the western boundary of the Parish of Pirongia; thence northerly along said boundary to the Parish of Karamu, following west boundary of said parish to junction of Mangaokahu Stream, following said stream and east boundary-lines of Sections 173 and 167, thence by a right line towards south-east corner of Section 136 to point of commencement.

Pirongia Riding.

All that area in Raglan County bounded on the north by the Karamu Riding, hereinbefore described; thence southerly along the west bank of the Waipa River to the boundary of the Town of Pirongia, thence following said boundary and boundary of Parish of Pirongia to place of commencement.

Whaingaroa Riding.

All that area in Raglan County bounded on the north by the Whaingaroa Harbour and the Waingaro Riding, hereinbefore described, and on the west by the said riding and Karamu Riding, hereinbefore described, to where the Raglan-Waipa Road crosses the Waitetuna Stream; thence south-west to Trig. 29, thence in a straight line along boundary of county to north-east corner of Section 6, Block X., Karioi Survey District; thence northerly to south corner of Section 128, following southern and western boundary-lines of Sections 128, 41, 19, 18, 40, 50A, Ohiopopoko Native Reserve, and 79, to Raglan-Waipa Road; thence north-west along said road to west corner of Subsection 10 of Section 35, thence by road-line to the Opotoro Creek, following east bank of said creek to point of commencement.

Karioi Riding.

All that area in Raglan County bounded on the north from Woody Head by the ocean and the Whaingaroa Harbour; thence southerly by the boundary of the Whaingaroa Riding, hereinbefore described; thence south-west by a straight line along county boundary to Trig. 94, following said boundary to the Pakoka River, thence by said river and western shore of Aotea Harbour to the ocean; and towards the west by the ocean to point of commencement.

I hereby certify that the above special order was adopted on the 5th day of March and confirmed on the 28th day of May, 1902, and the descriptions forwarded are in accordance therewith, and that the above special order has been duly made in accordance with “The Counties Act, 1886.”

Special Order made by the Te Horo Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Te Horo Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Te Horo Road Board.

That this Board intends, by special order, to form a special district, to be called Special District No. 4, comprising the following properties—viz., part of Waihoanga 4A, 30 acres, and part of Section 11, Kaitawa IV., 110 acres; the said special district being formed for the purpose of raising a loan of £150 under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the construction of the Waimanu Road, the same being within the said special district, and for the striking of a special rate to pay interest on the said loan.

Loan Proposals.

That this Board proposes to borrow from the Colonial Treasurer, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the sum of £150 for the construction of the Waimanu Road, within the Special District No. 4—first, to make a special rate of 1½d. in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable properties within the said special district, to pay for interest on the said loan for forty-one years at 3½ per cent., under subsection (c), clause 59, of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901”; second, that the cost of raising the loan, and the first year’s interest, be paid out of loan.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made on the 31st May, and confirmed on the 14th July, 1902.

Special Order made by the Omata Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Omata Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

OMATA ROAD BOARD.

Special Order.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Omata Road Board do hereby resolve as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £275, authorised to be raised by the Omata Road Board under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for grading, forming, and metalling a part of the Pheney Road, in the County of Taranaki, the said Omata Road Board do hereby make and levy a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Pheney Road Special-rating District, comprising parts Sections 35, 36, 37, Block 8, Paritutu Survey District, 69 acres; parts Sections 35, 37, Block 8, Paritutu Survey District, 31 acres and 10 perches; parts Section 38, Section 63, Block 8, Paritutu Survey District, 103 acres 1 rood 22 perches; Section 77, parts Sections 38, 65, Block 8, Paritutu Survey District, 115 acres 2 roods; part Section 47, Section 75, Block 8, Paritutu Survey District, 38 acres 1 rood: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of September and the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Result of Poll.

THE following is the result of a poll taken on the 22nd day of July, 1902, on a proposal to raise a loan of £400, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” to metal Mount Bruce Road:—

Votes recorded for the proposal, 13; against the proposal, nil.

More than three-fifths of the valid votes having been recorded in favour of the proposal, I hereby declare the proposal carried.
