Result of Poll for Proposed Loan, Collingwood County Council.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Collingwood County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

RESULT OF POLL for Proposed Loan, Takaka Riding, County of Collingwood.
THE following is the result of the poll of the ratepayers of the Takaka Riding of the County of Collingwood, taken on the 19th day of July, 1902, on the proposal to borrow £6,000 under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for forty-one years, at 3½ per cent., for the formation and graveling of public roads in the said riding:—
In favour of the proposal, 192; against the proposal, 45; informal, 1.
The number of valid votes recorded in favour of the proposal being more than three-fifths of the total number of valid votes recorded, I therefore declare the proposal carried.

Notice by the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”
To the owner or owners of a parcel of land containing 1 acre, more or less, being Allotment 180, Section 2, in the Town of Opotiki; bounded on the north by Ford Street, 200 links. The grantee is Walter Ogilvie Moore, described as a private in the 1st Regiment of Waikato Militia, who cannot be traced.
WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owner or owners of the above-described land is or are, and believes that such owner is, or owners are, not in the colony:
Now, this notice calls upon such owner or owners, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his or their title to the land specified in this notice; and, if such owner does or owners do not, within the time limited, so establish his or their title, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

The grantee is Thomas Poole Waterhouse, described as of Halifax, Yorkshire, England, who cannot be traced.
WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owner or owners of the above-described land is or are, and believes that such owner is, or owners are, not in the colony:

NOTICE is hereby given that, no person having taken out administration, the Public Trustee has filed in the office of the Supreme Court at Wellington an election to administer the several intestate estates of the persons deceased whose names, residences, and occupations, so far as known, are hereunder respectively set forth, their gross properties being estimated not to exceed £250 in each case.

Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”
WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have, for the purposes of “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894,” made due inquiries with respect to the land described in the Schedule hereunder written, and the owner thereof, and have, in respect of the said land, given the notices prescribed by section 4 of the said Act, and have in all respects complied with the provisions of the said section: And whereas I have not thereby ascertained who the owner is, and believe that such owner is not in the colony, nor has such owner established his title to the said land, as required by the said Act: I hereby give notice that the said land is, under and by virtue of the said Act, vested in me as the Public Trustee as aforesaid, as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the said Act; the assessed value of the said land being less than £100.
