Result of the poll of the ratepayers of the Tapuwaeroa Special District, taken on the 16th December, 1901, upon a proposal to borrow £1,000, under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and the amendments thereof, for the purpose of constructing a dray-road along the valley of the Tapuwaeroa River from the Waipu River to Rapa-raparariki, and a stock-road along the valley of the Mangao-paro Stream from Rotokautuku No. 5 to Pakira:—
Number of valid votes recorded for the proposal, 9; number of valid votes recorded against the proposal, 0.
I declare the proposal carried.

NEWCASTLE ROAD BOARD.
THE following special order was made on the 11th inst. by the Newcastle Road Board:—
“Resolved, That a special order be now made declaring gorse (Ulex europæus), broom (Cytisus scoparius), and Bathurst burr (Xanthium spinosum), (being plants mentioned in the Second Schedule of ‘The Noxious Weeds Act, 1900’), to be noxious weeds on all lands and roads within the jurisdiction of the Newcastle Road Board.”
I hereby certify that the above special order was made in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
SPECIAL ORDER made by the Otamatea County Council, on the 8th day of August, 1901, constituting the Mareretu Outlying District a Road District.
Resolved, That a special order be made declaring that the Mareretu Outlying District be constituted a Road District, and which shall be called the Mareretu Road District, and having the boundaries thereof the same as the Mareretu Riding. Also, that the number of members of which the Board shall consist shall be five (5), and that the election of such members shall take place at the schoolhouse, Mareretu, on the 10th day of January, 1902; that Mr. Robert Turner, of Mareretu, be appointed Returning Officer and Clerk for the purpose of carrying out the said election; and that a special meeting of the Council be held on the 27th day of November, 1901, for the purpose of confirming such special order, or otherwise, as the Councillors present may direct.
I hereby certify that the above special order was made strictly in accordance with the Counties Act.

THE following special order, made by the Mount Roskill Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

MOUNT ROSKILL ROAD BOARD.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” and its amendments, “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and its amendments, and “The Road Board Act, 1882,” and its amendments, the Mount Roskill Road Board do hereby resolve as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,000 authorised to be raised by the Mount Roskill Road Board, under the provisions of ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,’ and its amendments, for the laying-down of water-mains and the carrying-out of work incidental thereto for a water-supply for that portion of the Mount Roskill District hereafter described, the Mount Roskill Road Board do hereby make and levy a special rate of 3d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mount Roskill Road District within the water-supply area; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable to the collector, at the office of the Board, Three Kings, half-yearly, on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest upon the said loan shall be three pounds ten shillings per centum per annum, and this annual charge includes sinking fund. The cost of raising the said loan and the first year’s interest are to be paid out of the said loan.”
The Water-supply Area.
All that piece of land within the Mount Roskill Road District bounded towards the north, commencing at Greenwood’s corner, to the north-western corner of Allotment 92 of Section 10, by the Epsom and Mount Eden Road Districts: towards the west, from the said north-western corner of Allotment 92, by a road not named, to the Mount Albert Road; thence to the north-western corner of Allotment 86 of said Section 10; thence to the south-western corner of said Allotment 86; thence towards the south of said Allotment 86; thence bounding the Three Kings Farm to the south-western corner of part of Allotment 9 of Section 13; thence to the south-western corner of the farm known as Hayr’s; thence along the southern boundary of the said farm; thence along the southern boundary of part of Allotment 8 of said Section 13 to the Hillsborough Road; thence to Carlton Street; thence to Frederick Street; thence along Frederick Street to the north-western corner of Lot 17 of the subdivision of Allotment 8 of said Section 13; thence to the sea: towards the east from the last-mentioned point to Summer Street at its boundary with Onehunga; thence along the Mount Roskill Road District boundary to Greenwood’s corner: as the same is delineated by the plan deposited at the Schoolhouse, Three Kings.
I certify that the foregoing resolution was duly proposed at a meeting of the Mount Roskill Road Board held on the 27th day of November, 1901, and duly confirmed and passed as a special order at a meeting of the said Board held on the 28th day of December, 1901.
