Lands temporarily reserved in the Land District of Auckland.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Land District of Auckland described in the Schedule hereto, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified in each case at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 32 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, and 41 of Block VI. of the Town of Paeroa. Bounded towards the north-east by Wood Street, 400 links; towards the south-east by Victoria Street, 300 links; towards the south-west by Willoughby Street, 400 links; and towards the north-west by Sections Nos. 29 and 42 of Block VI. of the Town of Paeroa, 300 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a site for buildings of the General Government.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section No. 4 of Block XVI., Town of Paeroa. Bounded towards the north-east by Lewis Street, 510 links; towards the south-east by Thorpe Street, 400 links; towards the south-west by Wood Street, 250 links; and towards the north-west and again towards the south-west by the present school-site, 300 links and 250 links respectively, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For an addition to a public-school site.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 acres, more or less, situate in Block XXII. of the Town of Paeroa. Bounded towards the north-east by Wolfe Street, 1417 links; towards the south-east by Olga Street, 650 links; towards the south-west by Lewis Street, 146, 228, and 681 links; and towards the north-west generally by Arney Street, 307 links, by Section No. 4 of Block XXII. of the Town of Paeroa, 250, 100, and 250 links, and again by Arney Street, 100 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a public recreation-ground.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 2 roods 10 perches, more or less, being Section No. 3 of the Suburbs of Paeroa. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 1 of the Suburbs of Paeroa, 1582 links; towards the north-west by the Te Puru-o-te Rangi No. 2 Block, 50, 218, 194, and 84 links; towards the south by Section No. 2 of the Suburbs of Paeroa, 1933 links; and towards the west by Range Street, 200 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a rifle range.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 3 roods 28 perches, more or less, being Block XIV. of the Town of Paeroa. Bounded towards the north by Alpha Street, 138 links; towards the north-east by King Street, 102 and 801 links; towards the south-east by Arney Street, 800 links; towards the south-west by Willoughby Street, 1000 links; and towards the north-west by Mackay Street, 795 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a public recreation-ground.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and two.

Bounded towards the north by Sections Nos. 429 and 431 of the Parish of Waiotahi, 10573 links; towards the east by Section No. 458 of the same parish, 2959 links; towards the south by Section No. 451 of the same parish, 11306 links; and towards the west generally by a public road, 102, 625, 357, 525, 159, 288, 449, and 616 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For the growth and preservation of timber.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being Allotments Nos. 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30 of the Town of Taupiri. Bounded towards the north-east by Allotments Nos. 24 and 25 of the Town of Taupiri, 336 links; towards the north-west by Allotment No. 25 aforesaid, 300 links; again towards the north-east by a public road, 336 links; towards the south-east by Allotments Nos. 32 and 31 of the Town of Taupiri, 600 links; towards the south-west by a public road, 672 links; and again towards the north-west by Allotment No. 22 of the Town of Taupiri aforesaid, 300 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a public-school site.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being Section No. 70B of Paremoremo Parish. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 70A of Paremoremo Parish, 936·7 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 70A aforesaid, 1085·1 links; and towards the south-west and north-west by a public road, 151·5, 305, 336·4, 264·2, 150·6, and 886·1 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a public-school site.

SOUTHLAND.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 8, Block VII., Township of Hirstfield (Orepuki): as the same is delineated on the map in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Invercargill. For a site for a Courthouse.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and two.

Fixing Shooting Season for Fallow Deer, License Fee, &c., Wanganui District.

RANFURLY, Governor.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that fallow deer (bucks only, of not less than four points) may be taken or killed within the Wanganui District, comprising the Counties of Wanganui and Waitotara, from the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and two, to the fifteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and two, both inclusive (subject, nevertheless, to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned); and I do further notify that licenses not exceeding twenty in number to take or kill such game within the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each (not more than one such license to be issued to any one individual), and that no licensee shall be allowed to kill more than two bucks; and the Chief Postmaster at Wanganui is hereby appointed to issue the said licenses.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-sixth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and two.
