Special Order made by the Wirokino Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Wirokino Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

WIROKINO ROAD BOARD.
Special Order.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Wirokino Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500 authorised to be raised by the Wirokino Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of constructing all the roads in Wereroa Township, the said Wirokino Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property in the Wereroa Special-rating District, comprising Sections 1 to 3, Wereroa Block I., Waiopehu Survey District, all inclusive; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing special order has been duly passed in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

HOBSON COUNTY.
Special Order.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Hobson County Council do hereby resolve as follows: That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000 authorised to be raised under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for construction of the Tangiteroria Bridge and approaches, the said Hobson County Council do hereby make and levy a special rate of ¾d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all the rateable property of those portions of the Dargaville, Tangowahine, and Wairoa Ridings of the Hobson County, comprising Section No. 12, Block IV.; Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of Block VII.; Sections Nos. 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 11 of Block VIII.; and Section No. 2 of Block XI., all of the Maungaru Survey District; also, the blocks of land known by their original names as follows—Maungaru 311, Marekura C (6187c), Marekura d (6187d), Marekura E (6187e), Marekura G2 (6187g2), Mangakirikiri (3289), Mangakakahi (156), Mangakakahi No. 2 (4893), Ounuwhai Nos. 2 and 3 (3200), Omu (3202), Ohautahi (5379), Owhatia (154), Pohoatua (4096), Pohoatua No. 2 (5434), Paerata (6349), Piritahia, Pararahe (4375), Te Awamutu (3740), Tangiteroria (124), Te Kumi (268), Te Haurui (799), Waiaruhe (3203), Whakai Hunui (1456), E. Roff O.L.C. No. 126, Bray’s O.L.C. No. 146, and O.L.C. No. 215; all situated within Mangakahia and Maungaru Survey Districts: and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 2nd day of April in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the body corporate called “The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of Hobson County,” was hereunto affixed by direction of the Council of Hobson County, this 17th day of September, 1902, by and in the presence of—

I, Horace Hammond, County Clerk, of Aratapu, do hereby certify that the foregoing special order was made at a special meeting of the body corporate called “The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of Hobson County,” held on the 20th day of August, 1902, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said body corporate held on the 17th September, 1902, and that notice of the intention to make such special order was published in the Wairoa Bell, a newspaper circulating in the said county, on the 22nd and 29th August, and the 5th, 12th, and 19th of September, 1902.

THE following special order, made by the Winton Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” the Winton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That for the purpose of providing the interest at the rate of 4½ per centum per annum and other charges on a loan of £800 authorised to be raised by the Winton Borough Council under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the construction of an outfall drain or outfall drains, and as far as the money so raised will allow the construction of drains into such outfall or outfalls, the said Winton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Winton Borough District—bounded on the north by Grange Street; on the east by the railway-line; on the south by the street forming the southern boundary of Block V., Winton, and Eglinton Street; and on the west by McKenzie Street: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of January and 15th day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above was duly carried on the 24th October, 1902, and confirmed as a special order on the 28th November, 1902, and the seal of the Corporation affixed in the presence of—

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Council of the Borough of Akaroa, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

BOROUGH OF AKAROA.
RESULT of a poll taken on the 11th day of December, 1902, at the office of the Akaroa Borough Council, at Akaroa, on a proposal of the said Council to borrow the sum of £3,800, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” at £3 10s. per centum per annum for forty-one years, for the drainage of the said Borough of Akaroa by a system of septic tanks:—
Number of valid votes given for the proposal, 72; number of valid votes given against the proposal, 6.
A majority of the valid votes having been given for the proposal, I hereby declare the proposal to borrow £3,800 for the drainage of the Borough of Akaroa to be carried.
