Special Order made by the Council of the County of Stratford.

THE following special order, made by the Stratford County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £375, authorised to be raised by the Stratford County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for forming, grading, bridging, and culverting the Tapuni Road from the Mangaehu Road southward as far as the money will allow, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies, in accordance with the Acts authorising rating on the unimproved value of land, a special rate of 4½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Tapuni Road Special-rating District, comprising Sections part 6 (southern 40 acres), part 7 (eastern 100 acres), 8, 9, part 10 (southern 100 acres), 11 and 12, of Block XVI., Ngatimaru Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off; the rate of interest to be 4½ per cent. per annum.
The above special order was instituted at a special meeting of the Stratford County Council held on the 20th day of August, 1902, and confirmed at a meeting held on the 15th day of October, 1902.

THE following special order, made by the Hawera County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

HAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making and levying Special Rate.—Hunter Road Loan, £700.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” the Hawera County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £700, authorised to be raised by the Hawera County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of constructing the Hunter Road from the Railway Reserve to a point (say) 7 chains to the north of the Skeet Road, a distance of (say) 133 chains, the said Hawera County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property in that portion of the Mangatoki Riding of the Hawera County comprising Subdivisions 30 and 31 (Railway Reserve) and Section 31, Block IX., Ngaiere; Sections 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 49, 50, 52, and the northern halves of Sections 48 and 53, Block XIII., Ngaiere; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 15th day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and that the interest on such loan is at the rate of 4½ per cent. per annum.
I hereby certify that the resolution initiating the above special order was adopted at a special meeting of the Council held on Saturday, the 18th October, 1902, and duly confirmed at a meeting held on Wednesday, the 26th November, 1902.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
SPECIAL ORDER made by the Cook County Council at a special meeting held on Friday, 31st October, 1902, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on Monday, 1st December, 1902:—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” the Cook County Council do hereby resolve as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges upon a loan of £60, authorised to be raised by the Cook County Council under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for completing the Waiomoko Bridge, the said Cook County Council do hereby make and levy a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property in the Waiomoko Loan District No. 2, comprising Sections Nos. 3 and 2 of Block X., Whangara Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off; the interest on the loan to be 4½ per cent. per annum.

THE following special order, made by the Pohangina County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

POHANGINA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Copy of a Special Order made 16th August, 1902.
RESOLVED, That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Pohangina County Council hereby resolves as follows: That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £400 (such loan of £400 being in addition to loan of £2,519 previously raised for the same work) authorised to be raised by the Pohangina County Council under the provisions of subsection (4) of section 14 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the construction of Mount Richards Road within the Umutoi Riding, the said Pohangina County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¹⁄₁₀d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Mount Richards Special-rating District, comprising Sections 46, 49, 50, 51, 52, and 53, Block III., Pohangina Survey District; Sections 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, and 30, Block XII.; 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 26, 27, 46, and 47, Block XVI., Apiti Survey District: and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable the 1st day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I certify that the above special order was duly made on the 16th day of August, 1902, and duly confirmed on the 11th day of October, 1902.
