THE following special order, made by the Kiwitea County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” the Council of the County of Kiwitea do hereby resolve as follows: That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £400, authorised to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for trimming and metalling the Mangawharariki Road a length of about 108 chains, the said Kiwitea County Council do hereby make and levy a special rate of ⅚d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Mangawharariki Road Special-rating District, comprising Sections 1, 2, 5, 6, part 23, 24, 4, Block X., Hautapu Survey District; 1, 2, 3, 4, part 28, Block XI., Hautapu Survey District; 3, part 5, 40, 39A, 38B, 37A, 37B, 36, 35, Block XV., Hautapu Survey District; 28, 27, part 17, 26, 25, 24, 23A, 23B, Block XVI., Hautapu Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, until the loan is fully paid off.
Made under the seal of the Council of the County of Kiwitea, this 26th day of November, 1902.

The resolution to make this special order was adopted at a special meeting of the Council held on the 18th October, 1902, and was confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 26th November, 1902.

NOTICE UNDER “THE LOCAL BODIES’ LOANS ACT, 1901.”
THE following is the result of the poll taken this day on the proposal to raise a special loan of £1,500 for the purpose of remaking about one mile and a quarter of Manukau Road from Auckland to Onehunga:—
Number of votes recorded for the proposal, 66; number of votes recorded against the proposal, 3.
As the number of valid votes recorded in favour of the proposal exceeds three-fifths of the total number of votes recorded at the poll, I declare the proposal carried.
