To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Dunedin.
PURSUANT to “The Mining Act, 1898,” the undersigned, the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Dunedin, hereby applies for a license for a dam as specified in the Schedule hereto, the site whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Date and number of miner’s right: 29th October, 1901; No. 18420.
Address for service: Town Hall, Dunedin.
Dated at Dunedin, this 29th day of October, 1901.
SCHEDULE.
Locality of dam: Mount Hyde District, Block X.; across the Lee Stream; situated a little below the junction of Fortification Creek and Lee Stream.
Particulars of dam: Length of dam-wall, 60 ft.; greatest height of same, 35 ft.; breadth of same at base, 30 ft.; length and width of water-area, 60 ft. by 2,000 ft. Estimated time and cost of construction: Twelve months; £3,000.
Proposed term of license: Forty-two years.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882”; and in the matter of the Waimea Creek and Flat Gold-dredging Company (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the above company, held at the registered office of the company, at Christchurch, on the 8th day of October, 1901, a resolution was passed as follows:—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily.”
On the 29th day of October instant a further extraordinary general meeting of the said shareholders was held at the same place, and by resolution then passed the said first-mentioned resolution was confirmed, thus constituting the same a special resolution to wind up the said company voluntarily.
At the said last-mentioned meeting Mr. CHARLES LORD RUSSELL, of Christchurch, Accountant, was appointed Liquidator of the said company.

THE ROXBURGH LEAD GOLD-DREDGING COMPANY (LIMITED).
A GENERAL Meeting of this company will be held on Monday, 20th January, 1902, at 5 o’clock in the afternoon, at my office, 14, High Street, Dunedin, for the purpose of having the Liquidator’s account laid before the members, and of having any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and for giving directions as to disposal of the company’s books.

In the matter of the Kawarau Bridge Gold-dredging Company (Limited).
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened, and held at Dunedin on Monday, the 4th day of November, 1901, the following extraordinary general resolution was passed:—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same; and, accordingly, that the company be wound up voluntarily.”
And at the same meeting JOHN DAVIE, of Dunedin, Accountant, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.
