ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of November, 1901.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section twelve, subsection one, of “The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1900,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained: And whereas the Tuapeka County Council has applied for such consent in respect to the road described in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby consent to the Tuapeka County Council closing the road mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Declaring Mangaoronga Road, Wellington District, Eketa-huna County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of November, 1901.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the portion of the road described in the Schedule hereto, and which was made by the Governor under powers contained in “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and has hitherto been a Government road, shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

MANGAORONGA ROAD.

That portion of the Mangaoronga Road commencing at a point on the said road at its junction with the Mangamahoe Road, and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction to its junction with the Bowen Road, a distance of four miles or thereabouts; as the said road is delineated on the plan marked R. 1002, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured sienna.
