At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of October, 1901.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the portion of the road described in the Schedule hereto, and which was made by the Governor under powers contained in “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and has hitherto been a Government road, shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
OHINGAITI-WAIORU ROAD (TAIHAPE TOWNSHIP).
THAT portion of the Ohingaiti-Waiouru Road commencing at a point where the said road crosses the Otaihape Stream, and proceeding generally in a northerly direction to a point where said road crosses the Hautapu River, a distance of 1 mile 16 chains; as the said road is delineated on the plan marked R. 831, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured pink.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the roads defined in the Schedule below, and which were made by the Governor under the powers contained in the said Act, and have hitherto been Government roads, shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become district roads.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section twelve, subsection one, of “The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1900,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained: And whereas the Wallace County Council has applied for such consent in respect to the roads described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby consent to the Wallace County Council closing the roads mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

West Taieri Land-drainage District, County of Taieri, constituted.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of October, 1901.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of the fifth section of “The Land Drainage Act, 1893,” a majority of the ratepayers in the district described in the Schedule hereto, situated in the County of Taieri, have presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, praying that the land comprised in the said district be constituted a drainage district under the provisions of the said Act:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in the fifth section of “The Land Drainage Act, 1893,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby constitute and declare the area described in the said petition and in the Schedule hereto to be a district for the purposes of Part I. of the said Act, and to be called by the name of “The West Taieri Drainage District”; and also, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in the ninth section of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the Board of Trustees for the said district shall consist of five members, to be elected under and in accordance with the said Act.
