Proclaiming Inangahua River, in the Land District of Nelson, together with its Tributaries, to be Watercourses for the Deposit of Tailings.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and eight of “The Mining Act, 1898,” as amended by section twenty-two of “The Mining Act Amendment Act, 1899” (hereinafter termed “the said Acts”), it is enacted that on application in that behalf the Governor may from time to time, by Proclamation, constitute and set apart the whole or any part of any watercourse to be a watercourse into which may be discharged any tailings, débris, and waste water produced by or resulting from mining operations carried on under the said Acts, and in which or on the banks of which mining operations may be lawfully carried on:
And whereas such application as aforesaid in respect of the watercourse described in the Schedule hereto was duly notified and gazetted, as provided by the said Acts, on the date set out in the description of such watercourse in the said Schedule:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor has decided to exercise the powers conferred upon him by the said Acts:
Now, therefore, His Excellency Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Acts, doth hereby constitute and set apart the watercourses described in the Schedule hereto to be watercourses into which may be discharged any tailings, débris, and waste waters produced by or resulting from mining operations carried on under the said Acts, and in which or on the banks of which mining operations may be lawfully carried on; and doth hereby further prescribe that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and one.

SCHEDULE.
NELSON DISTRICT.
That river known as the Inangahua River, which flows in a northerly direction from its source in Victoria Range for a distance of about fifty miles to its confluence with the Buller River, together with all the tributaries thereof, excepting Pattinson’s and Phillip’s Creeks, with their respective tributaries. Date of gazetting of notice of application to proclaim, 16th August, 1900.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and one.

Land set apart for Settlement.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891” (herein termed “the said Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the block of land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.

KINOHAKU WEST NO. 2 BLOCK.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, situate in Block XIII., Kawhia North Survey District; Blocks I., V., VI., IX., X., XI., XIV., and XV., Kawhia South Survey District; and Blocks II., III., IV., and VI., Marakopa Survey District, containing by admeasurement 25,195 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north by Old Land
Claim 82: towards the east generally by the Kawhia Harbour, by Kinohaku West Nos. 12c, 11d, 11b, and 11c Blocks, by the Taumatatotara Block, by Kinohaku West No. 12, Section 1; again by Taumatatotara Block, by Kinohaku West L No. 2, M Section 1, and S Section 1 Blocks: towards the south generally by the production of the southern boundary of the Ratapoke Block, Section 2, by Kinohaku West K, Section 2, by Kinohaku West K. Section 2, and by Kinohaku West No. 5 and No. 2 Blocks: towards the west generally by the sea, by Kinohaku West No. 1a Block, by Section 1 of Block IX., Kawhia South Survey District, Section 1 of Block V. of the same survey district, Section 1 of Block III., Marakopa Survey District, and by Taharoa B No. 1 Block: and towards the north-west by Taharoa A Block: excluding Kinohaku West No. 3 Block from the area hereinbefore described. As the same is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 46446, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged with red.

Boundaries of Town District of Kamo, County of Whangarei, enlarged.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the nineteenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twentieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, the Town District of Kamo was duly constituted and proclaimed under “The Town Districts Act, 1881,” with the boundaries described in the Schedule to the said Proclamation: And whereas it is expedient to enlarge the boundaries of the said Town District of Kamo in the manner hereinafter set forth, and which said enlargement does not exceed the limits prescribed by the said Act for the area of a town district:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the said “Town Districts Act, 1881,” do hereby enlarge the said Town District of Kamo by adding thereto the area described in the First Schedule hereto, and do declare that on and after the first day of August next the boundaries of the said town district shall be those described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north-east generally by that part of the Te Tupua Block owned by Mr. William Thomas (20 acres) and its southern boundary-line produced to the middle of the Great North Road; thence by a line along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 118, Parish of Whangarei (Block VIII., Purua Survey District); thence by a right line to and by that boundary-line to the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 19; thence by Sections Nos. 19 and 18 to the easternmost corner of Section No. 116: thence towards the south-east by the south-eastern boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 116, 115, and 114 to the Waitaua River; thence by that river to the Hikurangi–Kamo Railway-line: thence towards the south-west by that railway-line to the eastern boundary-line of the Parakiore No. 2 Block: and thence towards the west generally by that block and the Parakiore Block to the place of commencement.
