CLYDE TOWN DISTRICT.
I HEREBY give notice that at a poll taken on the 29th day of
April, 1901, on the proposal of the Clyde Town Board to
raise a special loan of £600 under "The Local Bodies' Loans
Act, 1886," and the amendments thereto, for the purpose of
draining, metalling, and forming roads in the Township of
Clyde, there were recorded,
In favour of the proposal, 41 votes; against the proposal,
18 votes.
As the number of votes recorded in favour of the
proposal exceeded three-fifths of the total number of votes
recorded at the poll, I hereby declare the proposal to be
carried.

BOROUGH OF WOODVILLE.
To the Colonial Secretary, Wellington.
Sir,--I have the honour to inform you that a poll was taken
on the 29th day of April, 1901, on the proposal to borrow
£10,320, in accordance with the provisions of "The Municipal
Corporations Act, 1901," for the following purpose--
viz., to construct a high-pressure waterworks to supply a
portion of the borough bounded on the north by Sowry
Road, on the east by Penfold Road and the eastern boundary
of Rural Section 71, on the south by the Mangaatua
Stream, and on the west by the eastern boundaries of Rural
Sections 8, 120, and 123--for a period of forty-one years, at
3½ per cent. per annum.
Votes for the proposal, 125; votes against the proposal, 21;
informal, 1.
A majority of the electors having voted in favour of the
proposal, I declare the proposal to be carried.

I, William Gibb Crawford, Town Clerk of the Borough of
Woodville, do solemnly and sincerely declare that all proceedings required by "The Municipal Corporations Act,
1900," to be taken in or towards obtaining the sanction of
the electors to the proposal to borrow the sum of £10,320 to
construct waterworks to supply water to a portion of the
borough bounded on the north by Sowry Road, on the east
by the Penfold Road and the eastern boundary of Rural
Section 71, on the south by the Mangaatua Stream, and on
the west by the eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 8, 120,
and 123, have been duly taken, and that the resolution in
favour of the proposal was duly carried; and I make this
solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be
true, and by virtue of an Act of the General Assembly of
New Zealand intituled "The Justices of the Peace Act,
1882."

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in
that behalf by "The Land Drainage Act, 1893," section 18,
the Maungatua Land Drainage Board do hereby resolve to
divide the said Maungatua Land Drainage District into two
subdivisions, to be named Maungatua West Subdivision and
Maungatua East Subdivision; Maungatua West Subdivision
to be all that area of the drainage district on north-west side
of Lee Creek or Canal, comprising Sections 2, 2 of 4, 1 of 4,
1 of 6, 2 of 6, 8, 10, Block II., Maungatua Survey District,
and Allotments, 16, 17, 20, 23, 24, 25, Henley Estate, and
Section 43, Block V., Maungatua Survey District; Maungatua East Subdivision comprising all that area in the
drainage district on the south-east side of Lee Creek or
Canal being the balance of Maungatua Drainage District as
described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 6th December,
1900, Second Schedule (extended boundaries), page 2182.
I, John Grant, Clerk, Maungatua Land Drainage Board,
do hereby certify that the above resolution was adopted by
the Board on the 8th March, 1901, and advertised in the
Taieri Advocate of the 23rd and 30th March, 6th and 13th April, by way of special order, and confirmed the
22nd day of April, 1901, and that it take effect or come into
force as soon as gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette.
