The said special rate to be an annual-recurring rate for forty-one years (41) at 3½ per cent., and will become due and payable in one instalment on the 1st day of November in each year, the first instalment to become due and payable at the office of the Board to the Collector on 1st November, 1901.
I hereby certify the above special order was made by the Hunua Road Board on the 6th day of April, 1901, and confirmed on the 6th day of May, 1901, in accordance with law.

Special Order.
THAT this Board, by special order, declares the ragwort or ragweed (Senecio jacobæus), included in the Second Schedule of “The Noxious Weeds Act, 1900,” to be a noxious weed within the Waimate Road District; such special order to take effect from the date of its publication in the Government Gazette.
I certify that the above special order was duly made in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

OPAHEKE ROAD BOARD.
It is hereby notified that at a poll taken at Ararimu on the 27th April, 1901, in accordance with “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” and “The Local Government Voting Reform Act, 1899,” the following votes were recorded on the proposal to borrow the sum of £1,500 for road-forming, metalling, and the purchase of two deviations:—
Votes in favour of the proposal, 48; against the proposal, 35; informal, 2.
As the number of valid votes recorded in favour of the proposal is less than three-fifths of the total number of valid votes recorded, I hereby declare the proposal lost.

BOROUGH OF PETONE.
Result of poll on the proposal of the Petone Borough Council to raise a special loan of £23,500 for the purpose of establishing waterworks, taken upon the 13th day of April, 1901:—
Number of votes for the proposal, 178; number of votes against the proposal, 79; number of informal votes, 16.
As the number of votes for the proposal exceed the number of votes against the proposal, I hereby declare the resolution in favour of the proposal to have been duly carried.

In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900.”
I, Richard Clement Kirk, Mayor of the Borough of Petone, solemnly and sincerely declare—
That all proceedings required by law to be taken in or towards obtaining the sanction of the ratepayers to the proposal of the Petone Borough Council to raise a special loan of £23,500 for the purpose of establishing waterworks have been duly taken, and that the resolution in favour of the proposal has been duly carried; and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”

Number of votes for the proposal, 183; number of votes against the proposal, 71; number of informal votes, 19.
As the number of votes for the proposal exceed the number of votes against the proposal, I hereby declare the resolution in favour of the proposal to have been duly carried.
