boundary of Section 123, all in Blocks II. and VI., Patutahi Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of Section 1, Block I., Patutahi Survey District (Education Reserve); thence westerly by the northern boundary of the said Education Reserve to Poha; thence south-westerly by the north-western boundary of the Education Reserve aforesaid to the north-east corner of the Hangaroa-Matawai No. 2 Block; thence north-westerly by the northern boundaries of that block, Section 2 of Block IV., Section 1 of Block III., Hangaroa Survey District, Section 1 of Block XV., and Section 1 of Block XIV., Ngatapa Survey District, to the south-westernmost corner of the Okahuatiu No. 2 Block; thence north-easterly by the eastern boundaries of the Hangaroa-Matawai Block and the Wharekopae No. 1a Block to the Wharekopae River; thence easterly by that river to the southern boundary of the Okahuatiu No. 1 Block; thence south-easterly by the southern boundary of that block and the southern boundary of the Okahuatiu No. 1b Block to the Mangatoitoi Stream; thence southerly by that stream to the western boundary of Section 120, Block II., Patutahi Survey District; thence south-westerly by the north-western boundary of that section to the point of commencement.
Special Order made by the Ashburton County Council, altering the Boundaries of the Rangitata and Anama Road Districts.

THE following special order, made by the Ashburton County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1886.”

RESOLVED, that this Council do make a special order altering the boundaries of the Rangitata and Anama Road Districts, and such special order shall be as follows, that is to say:—
SPECIAL ORDER.
In compliance with the petition of the ratepayers of the Anama Road District and of part of the Rangitata Road District, which has been presented to the Council, and in pursuance of the powers conferred upon the Council by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” “The Road Boards Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1883,” and of all other powers vested in it in that behalf, the County Council of the County of Ashburton doth hereby order and declare that the boundaries of the said road districts shall be altered, and that from and after the day upon which this special order shall be gazetted the boundaries of the said road districts shall be as follows, that is to say:—
The Anama Road District.
All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury which is bounded towards the north-east by the south branch of the River Ashburton, commencing from a point in the middle of that river opposite the western boundary of Rural Section 30988, to the north-west boundary of the Upper Ashburton Road District at the south-east corner of Rural Section 35991; thence by the north-west boundary of that road district to a point in the middle of the River Hinds opposite the south-west corner of Rural Section 31100; thence north-westwards along the middle of the River Hinds to the Mayfield-Valetta Crossing; thence south-westerly along the middle of the Mayfield-Rangitata Road to its junction with Ballantyne’s Road; thence in a north-westerly direction along the middle of Ballantyne’s Road to the junction of that road with Moorhouse Road at the south-east corner of Rural Section 36177; thence westerly and south-westerly along the middle of a road to a point opposite the north-west corner of Rural Section 28913; thence to and along the northern boundary of that section and to the middle of the River Rangitata; thence north-westerly along the middle of that river to the south-eastern boundary of the Mount Somers Road District; thence north-eastwards along that boundary to the starting-point.
The Rangitata Road District.
All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, bounded on the north-west by the Anama Road District, as hereinbefore described; on the north-east by the Anama and Upper Ashburton Road Districts; on the south by the Coldstream Road District; and on the west by the River Rangitata.
I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly passed by the Ashburton County Council.

Special Order made by the Wanganui County Council, constituting the Mataongaonga Road District.

THE following special order, made by the Wanganui County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1886.”

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Wanganui County Council on the 14th Day of September, 1900, and subsequently confirmed on the 14th Day of December, 1900.
THAT a special order be now made declaring the Mataongaonga Riding a road district, the boundaries of which are as under:—
The boundary commences on the Wanganui River at a point in line with the south boundary of Section 60, Block V., Ikitara Survey District, and proceeds thence in an easterly direction across the river-bank reserve along the southern boundary of said section to the south-eastern corner of the same; thence in a northerly direction to the south-west corner of Section 65, Block I.; thence along the southern boundaries of Sections 65, 66, and 67, same block; thence along the southern boundaries of Sections 68, Block II., 70A and 72A, Block VI., to the south-eastern corner of Section 72A; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern and part of the northern boundaries of the said Section 72A, and the western boundary of Section 73, to the north-western corner of Section 73, Block II., and by the crossing of a public road; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundaries of Sections 85, 86, 87, 88, part of the eastern boundary of the said Section 88, and the southern and part of the eastern boundary of Section 292, same block, and southern boundaries of Sections 293, 363, 365, 366, and 367, Block III., to the south-eastern corner of the said Section 367; thence in a north-easterly direction along the eastern boundary of said Section 367 to the south-western corner of Section 334, Block IV.; thence along the southern boundary of Section 334 to its south-eastern corner; thence to the north-eastern corner of said Section 334; thence in a north-westerly direction along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 334, 335, 336, same block, and Sections 339, 340, and 341, Block III., to the north-western corner of the said Section 341; thence in a south-westerly direction to its south-western boundary; thence along the northern boundaries of Sections 350, 351, 352, 353, and 354, same block, and of Sections 278, 158A, and 157, Block II., to the north-western corner of said Section 157; thence by the crossing of the river-bank reserve to the Wanganui River; and thence by the said river in a south-westerly direction to the starting-point.
That the name of the said road district shall be “Mataongaonga Road District”; that the number of members of the Board thereof shall be five; and that the same shall not be divided into subdivisions.
I, Ernest Barns, Clerk of the Wanganui County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order has been duly made by the Wanganui County Council in accordance with “The Counties Act, 1886.”
