Licensing of Vehicles By-law made by the Rangitikei County Council.

I T is hereby notified, in accordance with section 311 of “The Counties Act, 1886,” that so much of the by-law made by the Rangitikei County Council, and passed on the 22nd day of December, 1900, as appoints the several sums to be paid to the county funds for the licensing of vehicles has this day been approved by His Excellency the Governor.

THE following special order, made by the Whangarei County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1884.”

SPECIAL ORDER.
Notice is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Whangarei County Council held on the 9th day of January, 1901, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting thereof on the 13th day of February, 1901, it was resolved to accede to the prayer of the petition of the resident ratepayers of the Otonga East Road District praying that the name of such road district be altered so that it be called “the Marua Road District,” and that such new name take effect as on and from the 1st day of March, 1901, and that such special order was made accordingly.
Dated this 13th day of February, 1901.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
A special order made by the Cook County Council on Wednesday, 28th November, 1900, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the 5th January, 1901:—
Resolved,—That, in accordance with the prayer of a petition by the ratepayers of the Hangaroa Outlying District, and the required number of the ratepayers of the Patutahi and Aroha Road Districts, this Council do now constitute a new road district, to be called “the Hangaroa Road District,” according to the boundaries defined in the schedule hereto marked “C.”
That the boundaries of the Patutahi Road District be amended as defined in the schedule hereto marked “A.”
That the boundaries of the Aroha Road District be amended as defined in the schedule hereto marked “B.”
That the number of members for the Board of the Hangaroa Road District be five.
That the number of members for the Patutahi Road District be five.
That the number of members for the Aroha Road District be four.
That this special order come into force upon the gazetting thereof.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Cook was hereto affixed in the presence of—

Description of the Boundaries of the Hangaroa Road District.
Commencing on the Gisborne–Wairoa Road at the south-easternmost corner of Section 124, Block VI., Patutahi Survey District; thence westerly by the southern boundaries of that section and Sections 6, 5, 4, and 3, Block V., Patutahi Survey District, to the eastern boundary of Section 7, Block VIII., Hangaroa Survey District; thence southerly by that boundary to the north-eastern boundary of Section 3 (Education Reserve), Block XII., Hangaroa Survey District; thence south-easterly and again south-westerly by the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Section 3, Block IX., Patutahi Survey District, and south-eastern boundaries of Section 3, Block XII., aforesaid, to the north-easternmost corner of Section 48, Block XVI., Hangaroa Survey District; thence westerly by the northern boundary of the said section to a public road-line; thence northerly by the western boundaries of the aforesaid Education Reserve to the Hangaroa River; thence westerly by the Hangaroa River to its confluence with the Mangamangapio Stream; thence north-westerly by that stream and the southern boundaries of Small Grazing-runs Nos. 32 and 31 to a public road-line; thence again northerly by the said road and the eastern boundary of a small reserve to the Gisborne–Waikaremoana Road; thence easterly and northerly by that road to its junction with the Stock Road; thence north-westerly by the Stock Road aforesaid to the Kowaimango Stream; thence northerly by the said stream to its confluence with the Hangaroa River; thence north-easterly by that river to its confluence with the Papoheka Stream; thence north-easterly by that stream and the north-western boundary of Section 1, Block XIV., Ngatapa Survey District, to the northern corner of the said section; thence south-easterly by the north-eastern boundaries of Section 1 aforesaid, Section 1, Block XV., Ngatapa Survey District, Section 1, Block III., Section 2, Block IV., Hangaroa Survey District, and the Hangaroa-Matawai No. 2 Block, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned block; thence north-easterly and easterly by the northern boundary of Section 1 (Education Reserve), Block I., Patutahi Survey District, to its north-easternmost corner; thence southerly by the eastern boundary of the said reserve and the northern and eastern boundaries of Sections 123A and 124, Block VI., Patutahi Survey District, to the point of commencement.

Description of the Boundaries of the Patutahi Road District.
Commencing at Parikanapa Trig. Station 136; thence by a line bearing north-easterly, being the north-west boundary of Waimata Native Reserve, to the Waimata River; thence easterly by the Waimata River to the south-east corner of Section 101 of Blocks VI. and X., Patutahi Survey District; thence northerly by the eastern boundary of the said section, and easterly by the southern boundary of Section 99, and southerly by the western boundary of Section 97, of Blocks VII. and XI., Patutahi Survey District, to the south-west corner of the last-mentioned section; thence easterly by the northern boundaries of Sections 98 and 95, Block XI., Patutahi Survey District, to the Arai River; thence northerly and easterly by that river to its confluence with the Waipaoa River; thence northerly and westerly by the Waipaoa River to its confluence with the Waikakariki Stream; thence westerly by the Waikakariki Stream to its junction with the Mangatoitoi Stream; thence southerly by the Mangatoitoi Stream to its intersection with the western boundary of Section 120, Blocks II. and III., Patutahi Survey District; thence by the north-western boundaries of that section, and the northern, western, and southern boundaries of Section 114, and southern boundaries of Section 115, to the north-easternmost corner of Section 108; thence by the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 108 to the north-eastern corner of Section 105; thence by the eastern boundary of that section to the Gisborne–Wairoa Road, all in Blocks II. and VI., Patutahi Survey District; thence southerly by the Gisborne–Wairoa Road to Trig. Station 136 at Parikanapa, the point of commencement.
