THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of North-east Valley, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886.”

BOROUGH OF NORTH-EAST VALLEY.

Loan Poll.

I HEREBY give notice that the result of the polling, duly taken on the 19th day of October, 1900, at the Town Hall, North-east Valley, on the proposal of the North-east Valley Borough Council to raise a loan of £9,000 for repayment of loan and for street-improvements, is as follows :—
For the proposal, 194 votes; against the proposal, 52 votes: majority for the proposal, 142 votes.
I therefore declare the resolution for the proposal to be carried.

In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886.”

I, Colin Macandrew, of North-east Valley, do solemnly and sincerely declare,—

  1. That I am the Mayor of the Borough of North-east Valley.
  2. That a poll was duly taken on the 19th day of October, 1900, of the burgesses of the said Borough of North-east Valley on a proposal to raise the sum of £9,000 by way of special loan for the purpose of paying off existing debentures and for street-improvements.
  3. That all the proceedings required to be taken by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” in or towards obtaining the sanction of the burgesses of the said borough to the said proposal have been duly taken.
  4. That the resolution in favour of the proposal has been duly carried.
    And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”

RESULT of a poll taken on the 28th day of February, 1901, upon the proposal to raise a loan of £850, under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and the amendments thereof, for forming and metalling the Stan-dish Road :—
Number of ratepayers on special roll, 6; number of votes exercisable, 8: Number of ratepayers voting in favour of the proposal, 4; number of votes recorded in favour of the proposal, 6; number of ratepayers voting against the proposal, 0.
I therefore declare the proposal carried.

Moa Road Board.

RESULT of poll of ratepayers of the Tariki Road from Manganui River to Mangaotea Bridge, taken on the 16th January, 1901, upon the following proposal: (1) To form and metal the Tariki Road from the Manganui River to the Mangaotea Bridge; (2) to borrow for such purpose the sum of £500 under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and its amendments, 1899, such loan being for a period of twenty-six years, and the interest at the rate of 4½ per cent. per annum; (3) to strike as security for such loan a special rate of ¹⁸⁄₁₆d. in the pound; (4) to constitute the “Tariki Road Special Rating District,” to comprise the following lands—viz.. Sections 1, 2 (in three subdivisions), Block V., Huiroa Survey District; Sections 10, 11, 25 (in three subdivisions). 26, 27, 28 (in two subdivisions), 33, 34, 35, Block VI., Huiroa Survey District:—
Total number of ratepayers on special roll, 9; total number of votes exercisable, 12: Total number of votes recorded for proposal, 7; total number of votes recorded against proposal, 4.
I hereby declare proposal carried.

Moa Road Board.

RESULT of poll of ratepayers of the Tariki Road East Special Rating District, taken on 26th January, 1901, upon the following proposal: (1) To form and metal the Tariki Road East from the Junction Road westwards: (2) to borrow for such purpose the sum of £150 under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and its amendments, 1899, such loan being for a period of twenty-six years, and the interest at the rate of 4½ per cent. per annum; (3) to strike as security for such loan a special rate of ¹⁄₅d. in the pound; (4) to constitute the “Tariki Road East Special Rating District,” to comprise the following lands—viz., Sections 18, 19, 29, Block II., Huiroa Survey District; Sections part 58, 50, Block III., Huiroa Survey District; Sections 19, 43, Block VI., Huiroa Survey District; Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, Block VII., Huiroa Survey District:—
Total number of ratepayers on special roll, 8; total number of votes exercisable, 14: Total number of votes recorded for proposal, 8; total number of votes recorded against proposal, nil.
I hereby declare proposal carried.

Moa Road Board.

RESULT of poll of ratepayers of the Egmont Road South Special Rating District, taken on Saturday, 16th February, 1901, upon the following proposal: (1) To form and metal the Egmont Road South from end of present metal to the Radius Line; (2) to borrow for such purpose the sum of £100 under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and its amendments, 1899, such loan being for a period of twenty-six years, and the interest at the rate of 4½ per cent. per annum; (3) to strike as security for such loan a special rate of ⁵⁄₁₆d. in the pound; (4) to constitute the “Egmont Road South Special Rating District.” to comprise the following lands—viz., Sections 4, 5, 6, 17. 25, 26 (in two subdivisions), 27, 31, 33, part 164, Block VII., Egmont Survey District:—
Total number of ratepayers on special roll, 10; total number of votes exercisable, 10: Total number of votes recorded for proposal, 5; total number of votes recorded against proposal, nil.
I hereby declare proposal carried.
