the sum of £800 for a period of forty-one years, at 3½ per cent., for the purpose of purchasing a deviation through Section 61, and widening the present road to 16 ft. wide, commencing at the western end of Jagger’s Deviation to Section 200, near No. 2 School; the balance of the money to be spent in metalling the road, commencing at the western end of Jagger’s Deviation; the metal to be 9 ft. wide and 12 yards to the chain (the road to be metalled as far as the money will go), together with the expenses in connection with the raising of the loan.
The interest and sinking fund for the same to be met and secured by an annual-recurring special rate for forty-one years of 2½d. in the pound upon the following properties, and to be called the “Whisky Creek Special Rating Division”: namely, Section, 47 acres, being south-west part of Section 81, Block IV., and Sections 84, 20, 86, 85, 226, 185, 184, 182, 187, 188, 183, 181, 180, 186, 194, 193, 192, 195, 201, 203, 204, 205, 206, 207, 67, 39, 42, 43, 62, 61, 199, 197, 37, 196, 200, 191, 198, 190, 202, 209, 210, 211, 212, 55, 57, 46, 65, 66, 64, 60, 58, 50A, and 63.
That a poll of ratepayers of the said division be taken at the No. 2 School, Ponga, on Monday, 15th October, 1900, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

THE following is the result of a poll on the proposal to raise a loan of £1,500 for the purpose of forming, grading, making culverts, and metalling portions of the principal roads in the district:—
For the proposal, 33; against the proposal, 5: majority for the proposal, 28.
I declare the proposal carried this 27th day of October, 1900.

Loan Poll.
Public notice is hereby given that at a poll, taken at the Town Hall, North-east Valley, this day, upon a proposal to borrow, by way of special loan, the sum of £9,000 for repayment of loan and for street-improvements, the voting was as follows:—
In favour of the proposal, 194 votes; against the proposal, 52 votes: majority in favour, 142 votes.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

I, Colin Macandrew, of North-east Valley, do solemnly and sincerely declare,——

That I am the Mayor of the Corporation of the Borough of North-east Valley.

That a poll was duly taken on the 19th day of October of the burgesses of the said borough on a proposal that the borough do borrow, by way of special loan, the sum of £9,000 for the term of twenty-one years, on the security of an annual-recurring special rate of 6d. in the pound and a sinking fund of 1 per cent., in addition to the general liability of the borough under “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886”; such loan for the purpose of paying off existing debentures, amounting to £4,000, and to devote £5,000 for street-improvements.

That all the provisions of law were duly given effect to.

That the result of the poll was as follows: In favour of the proposal, 194 votes; against the proposal, 52 votes; informal votes, four papers.
And I make this solemn declaration by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly intituled “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”

RESULT of poll for Proposed Loan of £8,000, taken on the 18th day of October, 1900.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a poll taken this day on the proposal of the Coromandel County Council to borrow the sum of £8,000 for the purpose of providing waterworks for the supply of water within the said district, the number of votes recorded is as under:—
For the proposal, 133; against the proposal, 35; informal, 3.
As a majority of three-fifths of the votes given on the proposal is in favour thereof, I hereby declare that the proposal is carried.

I, Richard Simmonds, Clerk to the Coromandel County Council, do solemnly and sincerely declare that all proceedings required by the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1886,” to be taken in or towards obtaining the sanction of the ratepayers to borrow the sum of £8,000 for the construction of waterworks in the Coromandel Water-supply District have been duly taken, that the resolution in favour of the proposal has been duly carried, that the statement marked “A” attached hereto, is a true statement of the result of the poll taken on the loan proposals on the 18th day of October, 1900.
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1886.”
