Award of the Imperial Volunteer Officers’ Decoration.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve, under the Royal Warrant dated the 25th July, 1892, of the award of the Imperial Volunteer Officers’ Decoration to
Captain ROBERT HUGHES, Wanganui Rifle Volunteers,
he having a total efficient commissioned and rank service counting towards the Decoration, to the 30th June, 1900, of 20 years 99 days.

Designation of Volunteer Corps changed.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve of the designation of the “Thames Naval Artillery Volunteers” being changed to the “No. 1 Company, Thames Rifle Volunteers,” with the seniority of the first-mentioned corps in the New Zealand Volunteer Force, with headquarters at the Thames, and with effect from the 16th October, 1900.
