THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

the said Hastings Road to the north-east corner of Waimate Survey District: thence towards the south by Waimate and Oeo Survey Districts to the Oeo River: and thence towards the west generally by the western bank of the Oeo River to its source; and thence by a right line to the summit of Mount Egmont, the place of commencement.
ELTHAM DISTRICT.
All that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded towards the north by Blocks V., VI., VII., and VIII., Ngaire Survey District, from Hastings Road to the eastern boundary of Section No. 11, Block VIII. aforesaid; thence by a line running due east to the watershed between the Patea and Whenuakura Rivers: thence towards the east generally by that watershed to the northern boundary of the Opaku Survey District: thence towards the south by the Opaku and Hawera Survey District to Hastings Road: and thence towards the west by the western side of the said Hastings Road to a point in line with the southern boundary-line of Block V., Ngaire Survey District: and thence again towards the north by a right line to the place of commencement.
WAIMATE PLAINS DISTRICT.
All that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded towards the north by the Opunake, Kaupokonui, and Ngaire Survey Districts from the Oeo River to the Waingongoro River: thence towards the east generally by the Waingongoro River to the sea: thence towards the south generally by the sea to the Oeo River: thence towards the west generally by the western bank of the Oeo River to the place of commencement.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration districts known as the Eltham and Waimate Plains Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into three registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Eltham, Kaponga, and Waimate Plains Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names, as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of “The Marriage Act, 1880.”
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do by this notice hereby proclaim as closed the road hereinafter described, that is to say:—

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, with the consent of the owner of the land hereinafter mentioned, and with the consent of the Clutha County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim as a road the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
