APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR A WATER-RACE.
To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Roxburgh.
PURSUANT to “The Mining Act, 1898,” the undersigned, Gideon A. Smith, of Teviot District, Sheep-farmer, hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Date and number of miner’s right: 23rd January, 1900; No. 12135.
Address for service: Jabez Burton, Mining Agent, Roxburgh.
Dated at Roxburgh, this 24th day of August, 1900.

THE GRACE DARLING GOLD-MINING COMPANY LIMITED), (IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION).
NOTICE is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting of the company will be held on Tuesday, the 4th day of December, 1900, at 3 p.m., at the office of the company, No. 11, New Zealand Insurance Buildings, Queen Street, Auckland, to consider an account made up by the Liquidators showing the manner in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted, and the property of the company disposed of, and hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidators, and to pass as an extraordinary resolution the following, viz. :
“That the books, accounts, and documents of the company, and of the Liquidators thereof, be retained by the Liquidators, they undertaking to destroy the same on the dissolution of the company.”

BY an order made by his Honour Mr. Justice Conolly in the above matter, dated this 24th day of September, 1900, on the petition of Arthur Wilding Ogle, Thomas Elliot, and James Bayly, creditors of the above-named company, it was ordered that the said company—viz., the Mokau Coal-mines Syndicate (Limited)—be wound up by this Court under the provisions of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and its amendments.
