Proclaiming Road as closed through Land in the Crookston Survey District, Tuapeka County.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do by this notice hereby proclaim as closed the road hereinafter described, that is to say:—

Approximate Area of the Portion of Road closed. Being Portion of Road Intersecting Section No. Block and Survey District. Shown on Plan marked Coloured on Plan
A. R. P. 6 2 26 3 XII., Crookston 44220 Green.

As the same is delineated upon the plan marked as above mentioned, deposited in the District Office of the Department of Lands and Survey at Dunedin, in the Otago Land District, and thereon coloured as above noted.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred.

Additional Land at Otatau taken for the Purposes of the Otatau-Nightcaps Branch of the Western Railways.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Otatau-Nightcaps Branch of the Western Railways to take further land at Otatau, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-eight and one hundred and sixty-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

THE parcel of land mentioned hereunder:—

Fixing the Date for the Collection of the Returns under “The Agricultural and Pastoral Statistics Act, 1895.”—Notice No. 598.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of September, 1900.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Agricultural and Pastoral Statistics Act, 1895” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting with the consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and direct that the account described in section two of the said Act shall be taken on the fifteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred, and continue to be taken from day to day until the tenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred; and doth hereby declare that this Order in Council shall take effect on and after the fifteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred.

Lighthouse Dues, Gisborne and Tauranga.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of September, 1900.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is enacted by “The Shipping and Seamen’s Act, 1877,” that the Governor may, by Order in Council, fix the various rates of lighthouse dues, not exceeding those specified in the Eighth Schedule to the said Act, which shall be payable at any port or ports within the colony in respect of all ships arriving at and of all ships leaving such ports, and in like manner from time to time may vary, alter, or abolish such dues: And whereas it is advisable to abolish the lighthouse dues at present in force at the Ports of Gisborne and Tauranga, and to substitute others in lieu thereof:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby abolish all lighthouse dues at present in force at the Ports of Gisborne and Tauranga, and doth also order that the lighthouse dues which are specified in the third column of the Schedule hereunto annexed shall be collected on arrival at the ports specified in the first column of the said Schedule.

And, with the like advice and consent, His Excellency the Governor doth further order that this Order in Council shall come into force on and after the twentieth day of September instant.
