Kaikai Ohakune, Otaika, and Kokomiko Blocks, occupied by Mr. A. Cowie—to the Upper Wangaehu Road District, the boundaries of the portion to be annexed being—on the north, the boundary-line between the Te Maire Block and the Pikopiko No. 3 Block; on the north-west and west by the Pikopiko Block; on the south by Section 312, Block XIII., Mangawhero Survey District; on the south-east by the Wangaehu River; and on the east by the Mangawhero River: and that the effect of such special order shall take effect from the gazetting of the special order.
I, Ernest Barns, Clerk of the Wanganui County Council, hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a special order made by the Wanganui County Council, at a meeting held on the 11th day of May, 1900, and subsequently confirmed at a meeting of the Council held on the 13th day of June, 1900.

THE following special order, made by the Arai Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

ARAI ROAD BOARD.
Tokonui Loan.—Special Order.
Notice is hereby given that this Board will proceed by special order, on the 7th June, 1900, to make a special rate of 1½d. in the pound on the rateable value of the property within a special district, thereinafter defined, for the purpose of providing interest upon a loan of £1,172, to be raised under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and amendments, for the construction of the Tokonui Road.
The rate to be an annual-recurring rate, and to be due and payable in one sum on the 1st day of June in each year for twenty-six years.
It is further resolved to pledge, as security for payment of the interest on this loan, the Land Fund accruing due in respect of the lands within the special district, such Land Fund to be used in reduction of the rate upon the lands that contribute to the Land Fund.
I hereby certify that the foregoing special order by the Arai Road Board was duly proposed at a meeting held on the 7th June, 1900, and confirmed at a special meeting held on the 6th July, 1900, and in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

THE following special order, made by the Wairau Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

WAIRAU ROAD BOARD.
A.
Notice is hereby given that the following special order was made on the 1st June, 1900, and confirmed on the 6th July, 1900:—
“That a special order is hereby made making a special annual-recurring rate of ¼d. in the pound for a period of twenty-six years, commencing from the 1st April, 1900, upon the value of the rateable property appearing in the valuation-roll for the time being in the Sub-district of Avon, in the Subdivision of Waihopai, in the Wairau Road District.
“The said Sub-district of Avon comprises all that portion of the Waihopai Subdivision of the Wairau Road District included in Sections 1 to 19, Block II., Waihopai; Sections 135 to 163, Redwood Run; Sections 12 to 20 and 23 to 26, Block II.; and Sections 32, 36 to 56, Summerlands Run, containing 20,457 acres; also part of Run No. 109, Marlborough Land District: as the same are more particularly delineated on a plan deposited in the office of the Wairau Road Board, at Blenheim, and thereon coloured green.
“Such rate to be for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund for a loan of £400 obtained under the provisions of ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,’ and ‘The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,’ and shall be payable in one sum on the 1st day of August, 1900, and on the same date of each year following until the loan in respect of which the said rate is made is paid off.”
This is the paper marked “A” referred to in the attached certificate.

THE following special order, made by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

Copy of Special Order adjusting the Inscribed Debt of the Upper Wangaehu Road Board.
That a special order (readjusting the inscribed debt of the Upper Wangaehu Road District under subsection (1) of section 2 of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1899,” at the rate of 4½ per cent. instead of 5 per cent. for twenty-six years, in respect of the loan of £2,039 10s. 8d. for roads and bridges; and, under subsection (3) of section 2 of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1899,” at the rate of 3½ per cent. for forty-one years, instead of 5 per cent. for twenty-six years, in respect of all other loans made by the said Board: such adjustment to take effect from the 1st day of February, 1901) be now made.
I hereby certify that the above special order was made in accordance with the provisions of section 76 of “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, at a meeting held on Saturday, 2nd June, 1900, and duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Board on Saturday, 7th July, 1900.

Copy of Special Order making a Special Rate to provide Interest on a 10-per-cent. Loan on the Original £700 Loan for Mangamahu Cart-road, Upper Wangaehu Road District.
That a special order (making a special rate of ⅛d. in the pound over all rateable property within the Mangamahu £700 Loan Special Rating Area, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and their amendments, for the purpose of providing interest and sinking fund on a further loan of 10 per cent. on the original £700 loan; such rate to be an annually recurring rate, leviable, if required, on the 1st day of February, 1901, and on the same day of each year following until the loan in respect of which the said rate is made is paid off) be now made.
I hereby certify that the above special order was made in accordance with section 76 of “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, at a meeting held on Saturday, 2nd June, 1900, and duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Board on Saturday, 7th July, 1900.
