Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor by the owner of the lands described in the Schedule hereto, praying that the restrictions on the alienation of such lands contained in the Crown grants bearing date the first day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty, may be removed: And whereas inquiry has been duly made by the Native Land Court, and the said Court has recommended that the restrictions be removed:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the fifty-second section of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and in accordance with the recommendation of the Native Land Court, doth hereby order and declare that all restrictions imposed by the said Crown grants on the alienation of the said lands are hereby removed.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land, containing 8 acres and 35 perches, more or less, situate in the Provincial District of Taranaki, being the land known as Sections Nos. 9 and 13, Ahuahu Town Belt, being the land comprised in Crown grant, dated the 1st day of September, 1880, in favour of Peti Rangikau-matua, and subject to the following restrictions: “Inalienable by sale, or by lease for a longer period than twenty-one years, or by mortgage, except with the consent of the Governor being previously obtained to every such sale, lease, or mortgage.”

All that parcel of land, containing 5 acres, more or less, situate in the Provincial District of Taranaki, being the land known as Subsection 15 of Section 1, Oakura District, Cape Survey District, being the land comprised in Crown grant, dated the 1st day of September, 1880, in favour of Peti Rangikaumatua, and containing the following restrictions: “Inalienable by sale, or by lease for a longer period than twenty-one years, or by mortgage, except with the consent of the Governor being previously obtained to every such sale, lease, or mortgage.”

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this sixteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred.

Declaring it lawful to take Oysters in the Tauranga Oyster-fishery.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS it is amongst other things enacted by section fifteen of “The Sea-fisheries Act, 1894,” that the Governor may from time to time declare any bay, estuary, or tidal waters in the colony to be an oyster-fishery, and to prescribe the subdivisions thereof wherein it shall be lawful and unlawful to take oysters:

And whereas by Warrant under the hand of the Governor, dated the third day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighth day of the same month, the Tauranga Oyster-fishery was constituted:

And whereas it is desirable that it should be declared lawful to take oysters in the Tauranga Oyster-fishery:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, doth hereby declare and prescribe that it shall be lawful to take oysters in the Tauranga Oyster-fishery.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this sixteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred.
