Glynn Wye Run, Amuri County, Canterbury Land District, for Lease by Public Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Christchurch, 16th January, 1900.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned pastoral run will be offered for lease by public auction, at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, on Tuesday, the 27th day of February, 1900, at 11 a.m.

SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—AMURI COUNTY.

Run No. 233, Glynn Wye Station: 192,000 acres; upset rental, £550 per annum; term, 10 years.

Possession will be given on the 1st March, 1901.

This run is situated near the western boundary of the Amuri County, and comprises nearly the whole of the watershed of the Boyle River, with its tributaries the Lewis, Doubtful, and Hope Rivers, down to the junction of the Boyle with the Waiau River. It consists of high, mountainous country, with large areas of forest, intersected by narrow but well-grassed valleys, with glades and open spurs running down into them. The elevation varies from 2,000 ft. to 6,500 ft. above sea-level. The purchaser of the license (other than the present holder) must, before being admitted to possession of the run on 1st March, 1901, pay to the Receiver of Land Revenue the amount of the valuation of about twenty-one miles of rabbit-proof fencing. He will also be required to either pay to the Crown during the period of currency of the license an annual sum of £170, payable by half-yearly instalments on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in each year, for the proper maintenance of the said fencing, or to furnish, prior to the 1st March, 1901, a satisfactory bond and guarantee for such maintenance during his occupancy of the run. A reserve one chain wide is reserved over all public tracks in this run, whether the reserves are shown on the sale-plan or not. The Government also reserves the right to resume, without compensation, at any time during the currency of the license, or to use without resumption, as may be required, an area of 20 acres adjacent to each of the hot springs in the Upper Hope and Lewis Valleys, together with all necessary rights of access thereto.

SIDNEY WEETMAN,
Commissioner of Crown Lands.
