Vesting Land in the School Commissioners of the Wellington Provincial District.

RANFURLY, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of January, 1900.

Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by paragraph twenty-eight of the First Schedule to “The Special Powers and Contracts Act, 1886,” it is enacted that the Governor may make arrangements with the owners of lands adjoining the reserve therein referred to (being Sections No. 220 to 227, both inclusive, of the Pahaoa Block, Mount Adams Survey District) for an exchange of lands for the purposes in the said Act mentioned, and, on receiving from the said owners respectively a surrender to Her Majesty of the lands to be received as equality of exchange, may grant to the said owners respectively so much of the said reserve as is required to carry out the said arrangements, and thereafter shall by Order in Council declare the lands so received in exchange vested in the School Commissioners of the Wellington Education District as part of such reserve, to be held by them for the purposes for which the reserve was vested in them:

And whereas the parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto have been surrendered to Her Majesty by the owners thereof in accordance with the provisions aforesaid, and it is expedient that the same should be vested in the said Commissioners as part of the said reserve:

And whereas certain parts of the reserve have been granted to the aforesaid owners, who have surrendered the land described in the Schedule by certificate of title, Volume Twenty-three, folio one hundred and thirty-seven:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the aforesaid Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is vested in the School Commissioners of the Wellington Provincial District as part of the aforesaid reserve, and shall be held by them for the same purposes for which the reserve was vested in them.

SCHEDULE.

All those parcels of land delineated on the plan deposited with the District Land Registrar, numbered 458, and being lots numbered as follows: Lot I., containing 332 acres 1 rood, being part of Section 216, Pahaoa Block; Lots II. and III., containing 5 acres, being part of Section 216, Pahaoa Block; Lot IV., containing 4 acres 3 roods, being part of Section 214, Pahaoa Block; Lot V., containing 37 acres, being part of Section 230, Pahaoa Block: total, 379 acres. Situated in Block XV., Wainuioru Survey District, and Block III., Mount Cerberus Survey District.

Winton Recreation - grounds brought under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of January, 1900.

Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order and declare that the reserves made for public recreation in the Southland Land District, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same are hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881”; and such domain shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

All those parcels of land in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 7 acres, more or less, being Sections Nos. 2 to 5, 7 to 12, 17 to 22, and 24 to 27, Block IX.; Sections Nos. 2 to 5, and 25 to 28, Block X., of the Town of Winton: as the same are delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Invercargill.

Custodians of the Securities of the Public Trust Office appointed.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of January, 1900.

Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section two of “The Public Securities Act, 1895” (hereinafter called “the said Act”), it is enacted that, with respect to such of the securities of the Public Trust Office as for the time being are held in the colony, the custodians shall be the Controller and Auditor-General, or an Audit officer deputed by him in that behalf, and such two other persons as from time to time are appointed in that behalf by the Governor in Council: And whereas by an Order in Council made the fourteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five, such two other persons were appointed accordingly: And whereas it is expedient to revoke such appointment, and to substitute another appointment in lieu thereof:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said second section of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby revoke the said Order in Council of the fourteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five, and doth, with the like advice and consent, by this present Order appoint the Public Trustee for the time being and the person for the time being acting as Accountant in the Public Trust Office as and to be the two other custodians of the securities of the Public Trust Office which for the time being are held in the colony.

Land near Ngapara, in the Provincial District of Otago, not required for Railway Purposes, authorised to be sold.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of January, 1900.

Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section twenty-nine of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under that Act or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise however, for any public work is not required for such public work, the Governor may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions therein set forth: And whereas the parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto has been purchased for the purposes of the Ngapara Branch of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway, and a certificate of title for the same, including other lands, has been issued to Her Majesty the Queen, and is recorded in Volume Fifty-seven, folio one hundred and fifteen, of the Lands Register, Dunedin: And whereas the said parcel of land is not now required for the purposes of the said Ngapara Branch Railway, and the Minister for Public Works has recommended that this Order in Council should be issued authorising such parcel of land to be sold:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities aforesaid, do hereby order and authorise the land described in the Schedule hereto to be dealt with and sold in the manner and subject to the conditions of the twenty-ninth and following sections of the above-in-part-recited Act.

All that parcel of railway land containing by admeasurement 1 rood 6 perches, more or less, being portion of original Section No. 43, Block VI., Awamoko Survey District, in the Land District of Otago, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the southern boundary of said Section 43, and distant 2105·3 links in a westerly direction from the south-eastern corner thereof; proceeding thence on a bearing of 270° 1′ 30″ for a distance of 352 links; thence on a bearing of 328° 17′ for a distance of 84 links; thence on a bearing of 85° 15′ for a distance of 168 links; thence on a
