from the date hereof (unless previously altered or revoked under the said Act), to
THE WINTON BOROUGH COUNCIL,
which shall be known as the Winton Domain Board (herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the third Monday in each month, at three o’clock p.m., at the Borough Council Office, Winton, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Monday, the nineteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

The Mayor shall be the Chairman of the Board. He may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote.

The Board shall prepare and submit at each annual meeting a report of the proceedings for the previous year ending on the thirty-first day of December, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
And with the like advice and consent as aforesaid doth hereby also order that this delegation shall take effect in respect of the parcels of Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
ALL those parcels of land in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 11 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27, and 28, Block IX., and Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29, Block X., Winton Township.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of January, 1900.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the twenty-third day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears; and doth hereby, with the like advice and consent, and in respect of the land hereinafter mentioned, delegate all the powers conferred by the said Act except the powers conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, for the period of ten years from the date hereof (unless previously altered or revoked under the said Act), to
THE MANAIA TOWN BOARD,
which shall be known as the Waimate Domain Board (herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the first Wednesday in each month, at half-past seven o’clock p.m., at the Town Board Office in the Drill Hall, Manaia, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Wednesday, the seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

ALL that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 13 acres 3 roods 2 perches, more or less, being Section No. 78, Block VI., Waimate Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Sections Nos. 76 and 77, 1450 links; towards the east by a road, 949·3 links; towards the south by Section No. 79, 1450 links; and towards the west by Section No. 43, 949·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Additional Regulation under “The Urewera District Native Reserve Act, 1896.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of January, 1900.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by the twenty-fourth section of “The Urewera District Native Reserve Act, 1896” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor in Council may from time to time make such regulations as he thinks necessary for, inter alia, giving effect to anything which by the Act is expressed to be prescribed, and for any other purpose for which regulations are contemplated by the Act, or which he deems necessary in order to give full effect to the Act:
And whereas it is expedient to make the regulation set out in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the consent and advice of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby make and prescribe the additional regulation contained in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby declare that such additional regulation shall come into force on the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE.
ADDITIONAL REGULATION UNDER “THE UREWERA DISTRICT NATIVE RESERVE ACT, 1896.”
In any case where, on the investigation of the ownership of any land by the Commissioners under the provisions of “The Urewera District Native Reserves Act, 1896,” it is found that any of the Native Commissioners present at the meeting are interested, every Native Commissioner so found to be interested shall abstain from voting, and should all the Native Commissioners present as aforesaid be so found to be interested, the ownership shall be decided by the votes of the European Commissioners alone, and in any such case the limitation as to quorum shall not apply.
