Revoking the Delegation of Powers under “The Cemeteries Act, 1885,” to the Southland County Council in respect of the West Gore Cemetery.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of January, 1900.

Present:

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council, issued on the sixteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, the powers conferred upon the Governor by section six of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” as to the appointment and removal of trustees, were delegated to the Council of the County of Southland in respect to the cemeteries described in the Schedule to the said Order in Council:

And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said delegation as far as it affects the cemetery described in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, His Excellency Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby revoke the delegation to the Council of the County of Southland in respect to the cemetery described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, being Sections Nos. 57 and 58, Block XVI., Township of West Gore, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 3 roods 6 perches and 3 acres 3 roods 38 perches respectively, more or less, as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill.

Vesting a Reserve in the Selwyn County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of October, 1899.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto has been permanently set apart for plantation purposes:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said land in the Selwyn County Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in “The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Selwyn County,” in trust, for plantation purposes.


SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 87 acres 2 roods 24 perches, more or less, being Rural Section No. 1325 and parts of Rural Sections Nos. 1409 and 2063, situated in Block XV., Christchurch Survey District, and Block III., Halswell Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. clxxxiii., folio 243, in the District Land Registry Office, Christchurch.

Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me by the eighth section of “The Justices of the Peace Act Amendment Act, 1888,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that

HERBERT HAROLD ALLISON,

being a person holding the office of Postmaster under “The Post Office Act, 1881,” at Loburn, is authorised to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-thirty-fourth section of “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”

As witness my hand, this eleventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred.

In pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirteenth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred, as the time at which the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
