Judge of the Assessment Court appointed under “The Government Valuation of Land Act, 1896.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of April, 1900.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE J. G. WARD PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by “The Government Valuation of Land Act, 1896,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby appoint the person named in the third column of the Schedule hereto to be the Judge of the Assessment Courts for the districts named in the first column of the said Schedule, in respect of the Courts sitting at the places named in the second column of the said Schedule, in lieu of the persons appointed for such Courts by Order in Council dated the twenty-sixth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by “The Government Valuation of Land Act, 1896,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby appoint the person named in the third column of the Schedule hereto to be the Judge of the Assessment Courts for the district named in the first column of the said Schedule, sitting at the places named in the second column of the said Schedule, in lieu of the person appointed for such Courts by Order in Council dated the twenty-sixth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor by the owner of the land described in the Schedule hereto, praying that the restrictions on the alienation of such land contained in the Crown grant bearing date the twenty-sixth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, may be removed: And whereas inquiry has been duly made by the Native Land Court, and the said Court has recommended that the restrictions be removed:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the fifty-second section of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and in accordance with the recommendation of the Native Land Court, doth hereby order and declare that all restrictions imposed by the said Crown grant on the alienation of the said land are hereby removed.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land, containing 12 acres 2 roods, more or less, situate in the Provincial District of Taranaki, known as Section 29, Block IV., Waitara Survey District, being part of the land comprised in Crown grant dated the 26th day of January, 1885, in favour of Raniera Repo, and subject to the following restriction: “Inalienable by sale, or by lease for a longer period than twenty-one years, or by mortgage, except with the consent of the Governor being previously obtained to every such sale, lease, or mortgage.”

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-eighth day of April, one thousand nine hundred.

Constable DOUGLAS MORTON MACKENZIE

to be an Inspector of Weights and Measures, under “The Weights and Measures Act, 1868,” and the Acts amending the same, for the Borough of Kaitangata.
