EDWARD BOYLE, of Richmond;

RESULT OF POLL FOR PROPOSED LOAN, FEATHERSTON ROAD BOARD.
Loan of £1,000 for Range Road to Cooper’s Creek, Awhea Special Rating District.
THE following is the result of poll on the proposal to borrow £1,000 for the construction of the above road, in the Awhea Subdivision of the Featherston Road District:—
Number of ratepayers on roll, 4, representing 9 votes: Votes recorded for the proposal, 6; number of ratepayers voting, 3; votes recorded against the proposal, nil.
The number of valid votes recorded in favour of the proposal being at least three-fifths of the total number of valid votes recorded, I hereby declare the proposal to be carried.

COUNTY OF POHANGINA.—THE VALLEY ROAD DEVIATION SPECIAL RATING DISTRICT.
THE following is the result of a poll taken on Wednesday, the 25th day of April, 1900, on a proposal of the Pohangina County Council to raise the sum of £150, by way of a loan under the provisions of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and the amendments thereof, for the purpose of forming and metalling the Valley Road Deviation, and to levy a special rate on the value of the several properties within the above special rating district:—
Number of ratepayers on special roll, 14; number of votes exercisable, 23: Number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal, 12; number of votes recorded for the proposal, 18; number of ratepayers who voted against the proposal, 1; number of votes recorded against the proposal, 2.
The required majority having been obtained, I hereby declare the above proposal to be carried.

PURSUANT to section 16 of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” the Colonial Treasurer hereby gives notice that on Friday, the 1st June, 1900, he will be prepared to consider applications from local authorities for loans under the Act.
Applications should be addressed to the Colonial Treasurer, and must be posted so as to arrive at the Treasury on or before the 31st May, 1900.
