Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” and the third section of “The Public Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1889,” doth hereby declare that the said reserve described in the first column of the Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the second column of the Schedule hereto.

Also all that parcel of land, containing 7 acres and 29 perches, more or less, being part of Plantation Reserve 2735, situate in Block XVI., Alford Survey District. Extending Time for holding Election of Councillors, City of Dunedin.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh day of September, 1899.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” it is provided that the annual elections of Councillors of boroughs shall be held on the second Thursday of the month of September in each year, and it is expedient that the date appointed for the holding of such election for the Borough of the City of Dunedin should be extended as hereinafter provided:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” and the Acts amending the same, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the time for holding the annual election of Councillors for the Borough of the City of Dunedin shall be extended to Friday, the fifteenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

Notice of Election of Chairman and Members of the Board of Conciliation for the Westland Industrial District.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1894,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that
JAMES BISHOP, of Brunnerton, Mine-manager;
WILLIAM ROBERT KETTLE, of Greymouth, Merchant;
JOSEPH HOLLOWS, of Denniston, Miner; and
HENRY BETTS, Jun., of Black’s Point, Coal-carrier,
have been duly elected as members, and
JAMES KIRTON, of Reef ton, Mining Agent,
has been duly elected as Chairman, of the Board of Conciliation in and for the Westland Industrial District.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

Education Reserve brought under the Provisions of “The Mining Act, 1898,” relating to Races and other Mining Privileges in respect of Water.
RANFURLY, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section twenty-five of “The Mining Act, 1898” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that all the provisions of sections ninety-one to one hundred and seven, inclusive, of the said Act, relating to races and other mining privileges in respect of water, together with all the powers conferred by the said Act upon Wardens for dealing with such privileges, and together also with all other the provisions of the said Act, and the regulations thereunder, in any way affecting such privileges, shall have operation within the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
Portion of an education reserve being all that area in the Southland Land District bounded towards the north by the northern boundary-line of Block XII., Wendon Survey District, from the road forming the western boundary of Section No. 1, said Block XII., to the Waikaka Stream, thence by the production of the said northern boundary-line in an easterly direction to the eastern boundary-line of Wendon Survey District; thence towards the east by the said eastern boundary-line of Wendon Survey District to Chatton Survey District; thence towards the south by the said Chatton Survey District to the Waikaka Stream; thence towards the west generally by the said Waikaka Stream to the northern boundary-line of Block VIII., Wendon Survey District; thence again towards the south by said Block VIII. to the road forming the western boundary of Section No. 2, Block XII., Wendon Survey District; and thence again towards the west generally by the said road forming the western boundaries of Sections Nos. 2 and 1, Block XII. aforesaid, to the place of commencement.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eleventh day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.
