THE following special order, made by the Pukekohe West Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

SIR,—At a meeting of the Pukekohe West Road Board held on the 28th October, 1898, the following special order was passed :—
Mr. Jacob H. Wright moved, seconded by Mr. James Potter, Chairman, “That the remainder of this road district, leaving out the Buckland Subdivision, be subdivided into the three (3) following parts, and to be known as the Hill Subdivision, Township Subdivision, and Puni Subdivision, one member each to represent Hill and Township Subdivisions, and two (2) members to represent Puni Subdivision.”
I certify that the above special order has been duly passed in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

THE PUKEKOHE WEST ROAD DISTRICT.
Township Subdivision.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District commencing at a point in Allotment No. 98 of Section No. 2 of small lots in the Pukekohe Settlement, at a distance of 3 chains from the middle of the road which forms its north-eastern boundary, such point being the termination of a right line running parallel to and at a distance of 3 chains from the middle of the road which forms the north-western boundary of Allotment No. 23 of Section No. 1 of the aforesaid settlement. Bounded towards the north-west generally by a line running from the point aforesaid parallel to and at a distance of 3 chains from the middle of the road which forms the north-western boundary of Allotment No. 23 aforesaid, the north-western boundaries of Allotments Nos. 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, and 32, the north-western and northern boundary of Allotment No. 33, and the northern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 34, 6, and 125, all of Section No. 1 aforesaid, to a point within Allotment No. 5 at a distance of 3 chains to the westward of the middle of the road which forms its eastern boundary; thence northerly and north-easterly by a line running parallel to and at a distance of 3 chains from the middle of the last-named road, which road forms the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 4, 3, 2, and 1, all of Section No. 1 aforesaid; thence easterly by a line running parallel to and at a distance of 3 chains from the middle of the road which forms the south-western boundary of Allotment No. 59, and by the right line aforesaid produced easterly to the Auckland-Waikato railway-line; thence towards the east generally by that railway-line to the southern boundary-line of Section No. 16 of the Parish of Pukekohe; thence westerly along part of the southern boundary of Section No. 16 aforesaid; thence southerly by a line running parallel to and at a distance of 3 chains from the middle of the road which forms the western boundary of Section No. 39, also of the Parish of Pukekohe aforesaid, to a point within the said section being the termination of another right line lying parallel to and at a distance of 3 chains from the middle of the road which forms the southern boundary of Allotment No. 17 of Section No. 2 aforesaid; towards the south by the right line last-named running westerly, parallel to and at a distance of 3 chains from the middle of the aforesaid road, which also forms the southern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 16, 25, 22, 281, 38B, 38A, 52, 51, 50, and 49, also of Section No. 2 aforesaid, to a point within Allotment No. 64 being the termination of another right line running parallel to and at a distance of 3 chains from the middle of the road which forms the western boundary of Allotment No. 49 aforesaid; and towards the west generally by the right line last named running northerly and north-westerly, parallel to and at a distance of 3 chains from the middle of the aforesaid road, which also forms the western boundary of Allotment No. 48 of Section No. 2 aforesaid and the south-western boundaries of Allotments Nos. 84, 21, and 23 of Section No. 1 of small lots in the Settlement of Pukekohe aforesaid, and by the aforesaid right line continued to the point of commencement.
Pukekohe Hill Subdivision.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, commencing at the south-western angle of the township subdivision hereinbefore described, bounded towards the north by the southern boundary of the township subdivision to the Auckland-Waikato Railway: towards the north-east by the railway aforesaid to the northernmost angle of the Buckland Subdivision: towards the south-east generally by the north-western boundary of the Buckland Subdivision, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 66, 5th August, 1897: towards the south by a line along the middle of the Waikato River to a point in the same being the termination of a right line produced in continuance of the western boundary of Section No. 78: thence towards the north-west generally by a right line to and by part of the western boundary of Section No. 78 aforesaid to a point on the same being the place of intersection by a right line produced south westerly in continuance of the north-western boundary of Section No. 74 of the Parish of Puni; thence by the right line aforesaid, the south-western boundaries of Section No. 74 aforesaid and No. 75, the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of Section No. 76, and the latter boundary produced north-easterly across the Mauku Tramway; thence by part of the south-western boundary of Section No. 70, the south-western boundary of Section No. 69, the south-western, north-western, and northern boundaries of Section No. 68, and the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Section No. 61, also of the Parish of Puni aforesaid, to its northern angle; thence by a line across a road to the north-western angle of Allotment No. 215 of small lots of Section No. 2 of the Pukekohe Settlement; thence by the north-western boundaries of Allotments Nos. 215 aforesaid, 214, 213, 212, 211, and 210, across another road, and by the north-western boundaries of Allotments Nos. 271, 209, 208, 207, 206, and 205, across another road, by part of the south-western boundary of Allotment No. 81, by its north-western boundary, and by that boundary produced across another road, by part of the south-western boundary of Allotment No. 66, its south-eastern and part of its north-eastern boundaries; and by the south-eastern boundary of Allotment No. 67, also of Section No. 2 of small lots aforesaid, its north-eastern boundary; thence by that boundary and part of the north-western boundary of Allotment No. 64 to the crossing of the western boundary of the township subdivision near the commencing-point.
