SCHEDULE.

That part of the Turakina Valley Road, in the Wellington Land District, extending from the concrete ford across the Turakina River to the stock reserve adjoining Section No. 3 of Block V., Tiriraukawa Survey District; as the same is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 17969, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured brown.

Declaring a Portion of the Ohingaiti–Tokaanu Road to be a County Road.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of April, 1899.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that that portion of the road known as the Ohingaiti–Tokaanu Road described in the Schedule below, and which was made by the Governor under the powers contained in the said Act, and has hitherto been a Government road, shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

That portion of the Hunterville–Ohingaiti–Tokaanu Road, in the Wellington Land District, which intersects Sections Nos. 2, 3, and 4, and fronts Sections Nos. 5, 6, and part of 7, of Block III., Ongo Survey District; as the same is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 12948a, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Roads in Salisbury and Delaware Blocks to be County Roads.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the portion of the Takapari Road, in the Delaware Block, and the Umutoi Road, in the Salisbury and Delaware Blocks, described in the Schedule hereto, and which were made by the Governor under powers contained in “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and have hitherto been Government roads, shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county roads.

SCHEDULE.

PORTION OF THE TAKAPARI ROAD TO BE HANDED OVER TO THE POHANGINA COUNTY.

That portion of the Takapari Road, in the Wellington Land District, in the Pohangina, Apiti, and Umutoi Survey Districts, the centre-line of which commences at a road traverse-peg marked xix. at the junction with the Umutoi Road, distant 99899 links north and 187611·4 links east of Mount Stewart Trig. Station, proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction generally to a traverse road-peg marked l., Pohangina Survey District, distant 96211·3 links north and 198477·4 links east of Mount Stewart Trig. Station; as the said road is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 23882, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington District, and thereon coloured brown.

PORTION OF THE UMUTOI ROAD TO BE HANDED OVER TO THE POHANGINA COUNTY.

That portion of the Umutoi Road, in the Wellington Land District, in the Pohangina, Umutoi, and Apiti Survey Districts, the centre-line of which commences at a road traverse-peg marked xix. at the junction with the Takapari Road, distant 99899 links north and 187611·4 links east of Mount Stewart Trig. Station, proceeding thence in a northerly direction generally to a road traverse-peg at road-junction between Sections 9 and 27, Block XVI., Apiti Survey District, 125706·7 links north and 202787·8 links east of Mount Stewart Trig. Station; as the said road is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 23882, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured brown.

Powers delegated to the One-Tree Hill Domain Board under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of April, 1899.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the eighth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears; and doth, with the like advice and consent, by this present Order, delegate, but only with respect to the pieces or parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the One-Tree Hill Public Domain Board, namely,—

The Member for the Electoral District of Manukau,

The Mayor of the Town of Onehunga,

The Chairman of the One-Tree Hill Highway Board,

The Chairman of the Epsom Highway Board,

The Chairman of the Mount Roskill Highway Board,

Robert Hall, and

John Logan Campbell

(hereinafter referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

  1. The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the second Wednesday in each month, at three o’clock p.m., at the Borough Council Chambers, Onehunga, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Wednesday, the tenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

  2. Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

  3. Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

  4. The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the second Wednesday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

  5. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.

  6. If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.
