  1. All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement 15 acres and 30 perches, more or less, situate in the Survey District of Otahuhu, Auckland Land District, being Lot No. 54 of Section No. 12 of the Suburbs of Auckland, Waitemata Parish. Bounded towards the north-west by Lot No. 12 of Section No. 12, Suburbs of Auckland, Parish of Waitemata, 1455 links; towards the north-east by Lot No. 55 of section aforesaid, 1055 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 1465 links; and towards the south-west by a public road, 1173 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 99 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less, situate in the Parish of Waitemata, and being Allotment No. 11 of Section No. 12 of the Suburbs of Auckland. Bounded towards the north-east generally by lines, 383 links, 67 links, 976 links, and 3148 links respectively; towards the south-east by Allotment No. 13, 4735 links; and towards the west generally by lines, 1184 links, 1635 links, and 1370 links respectively, to the commencing-point: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on Plan No. 680, deposited in the District Survey Office, Auckland.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of April, 1899.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the twenty-first day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears, and doth, with the like advice and consent, by this present Order, delegate, but only with respect to the piece or parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the Patutahi Public Domain Board, namely,—

Ariel Henry Graham,
William Smith,
Andrew Tuohy,
Thomas Jex Blake, and
John Clark

(hereinafter referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

  1. The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the first Monday in each month, at noon, at the Stipendiary Magistrate’s office, Gisborne, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Monday, the first day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

  2. Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

  3. Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

  4. The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the first Monday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

  5. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.

  6. If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

  7. All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, being Section No. 81, Block I., Turanganui Survey District, containing by admeasurement 61 acres and 22 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north by a road-line, 3030 links; towards the east by the Whenuakura Block, 1639 links; towards the south by Sections Nos. 32 and 33, 2737 links; and towards the west by Section No. 35, 2794 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

The Rev. Charles Coleridge Harper,
James Kenworthy,
William Rossiter,

The first meeting shall be held on Wednesday, the seventeenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

  2. Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting, and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

  3. Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.
