Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in “The Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Blenheim,” in trust, for river-protection purposes.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 74 acres, more or less, being part of Section No. 2, Block III., Taylor Pass Survey District. Bounded towards the north and west by Section No. 2 of 28, from the road forming the western boundary of that section to the south-western corner of Section No. 1; thence towards the north-west by said Section No. 1 to the western boundary of Section No. 3 of 28; thence towards the east, south, and west by said Section No. 3 of 28 to the road forming the northern boundary of Section No. 2 aforesaid; thence again towards the north by that road, and again towards the east by the road forming the eastern boundary of said Section No. 2 to a point in line with the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 1 of 28; thence towards the south-east by a right line to and by that boundary-line to the road forming the southern boundary of Section No. 2 aforesaid; thence towards the south by that road, and towards the west by the road forming the western boundary of said Section No. 2 to Section No. 2 of 28 aforesaid, the place of commencement.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of April, 1899.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that certain things required to be done by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” and “The Municipal Franchise Reform Act, 1898,” in connection with the making and revision of the burgess lists or rolls of the Borough of City of Wellington cannot be done by or within the time required by the said Acts:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” and its amendments, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend the times for the doing of the several acts and things set forth in the Schedule hereto, and required to be done in connection with the burgess lists or rolls of the several wards of the said Borough of City of Wellington, and doth hereby declare that the times for the doing of such several acts and things shall be those which are specified in the said Schedule.

Burgess and defaulters’ lists open for inspection, and delivery of objections to burgess lists, until the 15th May, 1899.

Sitting of Council to determine claims and objections, between the 26th May and 31st May, 1899.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that, owing to unavoidable circumstances, the preparation of the rolls for the County of Inangahua, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times limited by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

For preparing the rolls for ridings within the County of Inangahua: Until the 22nd July, 1899.

Time for which such rolls shall be open for inspection: From the 22nd July, 1899, to the 15th August, 1899.

Time for appeals against the said rolls: Until the 31st August, 1899.

Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with reference to the said rolls, and adjourn: Until the 20th September, 1899.

Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected and signed, shall come into force: On the 1st October, 1899.
