and ninety-nine, the existing boundaries of the said Papakura and Maungatawhiri Ridings shall cease to be the boundaries of the said ridings, and that their boundaries shall be those which are specified in the Schedule hereto respectively.

SCHEDULE.

PAPAKURA RIDING.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by the Howick Riding, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, of the 29th June, 1883, and the Hauraki Gulf; thence towards the north-east generally by the Waitawa, the Kawakawa, the Pekaraka, and the Kiripaka Blocks to the confiscation boundary-line; thence towards the south-west by that line to the road forming the south-eastern boundary of original Section No. 25; thence towards the south by the latter boundary and the south-western boundary of Section No. 25 aforesaid, and by the road forming the southern boundary of original Section No. 24, Parish of Otau, Wairoa Survey District, to the Waimako River: thence towards the south-east and again towards the south by that river to the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 30, Parish of Otau aforesaid; thence by that road to the Wairoa River: thence towards the west by the latter river to the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 4, Parish of Otau, by that boundary-line, and the western and northern boundaries of Section No. 70, a right line from the north-eastern angle of the latter section to the north-eastern angle of Section No. 33; and thence by the western boundaries of Sections Nos. 64, 63, and 62 to the south-western angle of the last-mentioned section: towards the south generally by the southern boundary of Section No. 69, part of its south-western boundary, for a distance of 2287 links, to the south-eastern boundary-line of the northern portion of Section No. 37; thence by that boundary-line to the western boundary of the Parish of Otau: thence towards the west generally by Opaheke Parish to the middle of the road which intersects the northern portion of Section No. 94, Opaheke Parish, and by the middle of that road continued to the north-eastern angle of Section No. 95; and thence by the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 95 and 96, Opaheke Parish, to the southern boundary of Hunua Parish: thence towards the south generally by Opaheke Parish to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 152, Opaheke Parish; thence by Sections Nos. 152 and 148, Opaheke Parish, the road forming the north-western boundary of Sections Nos. 184 and 185, by Section No. 189, the road forming the north-western boundary of Section No. 224 of said Opaheke Parish, and the northern side of that road produced to the Great South Road: thence towards the west generally by a line along the middle of that road to Slippery Creek; thence by that creek, the Hingahia and Pahurehure Creeks, and the Otahuhu Riding, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, of the 29th June, 1883.

MAUNGATAWHIRI RIDING.

All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north and north-west generally by the Papakura Riding, hereinbefore described; towards the north-east and east by the ocean; towards the south generally by the Waikato County and a line along the middle of the Waikato River; and towards the west generally by the Pukekohe East Road District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, of the 18th May, 1883: including all islands in the Waikato River between the mouth of the Maramarua River and the western boundary of the Maungatawhiri Road District.

Exportation of Rock-oysters prohibited.

RANFURLY, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day of March, 1899.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is provided by the thirteenth section of “The Fisheries Encouragement Act, 1885” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), that the Governor may, by Order in Council, regulate or prohibit the exportation of any fish caught or produced in the waters of the colony: And whereas it is also provided by the said Act that the term “fish” shall include oysters: And whereas it is advisable to prohibit the exportation of the oysters known as “rock-oysters”:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the said Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby, from the date hereof, prohibit the exportation from the colony of all rock-oysters taken or produced in the waters of the said colony.

Appointing Day for closing under “The Shops and Shop-assistants Act, 1894.”

RANFURLY, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day of March, 1899.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the local authorities of the Town Districts of Lethbridge (Turakina), Bull’s, Halcombe, Ormondville, Wyndham, Havelock, and Ngaruawahia, being duly authorised by “The Shops and Shop-assistants Act, 1894,” to appoint by special resolution, in the month of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine, the days on which shops in the said town districts are to be closed in accordance with the said Act, have failed so to appoint a day:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section ten of the said Act, do hereby appoint Wednesday to be the day on which shops shall be closed in the said town districts, in accordance with the said Act.

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section ten of the said Act, do hereby appoint Thursday to be the day on which shops shall be closed in the said town districts, in accordance with the said Act.

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section ten of the said Act, do hereby appoint Thursday to be the day on which shops shall be closed in the said boroughs, in accordance with the said Act.
