MANGONUI COUNTY.

  1. Otumaroki Kauri-gum Reserve: About 600 acres. Bounded on the north by Sections 3, 4, and 5 of Block XVI., Muriwhenua; on the north-west by a line running from the western corner of Section 5 to the Ngatumaroki Pa; on the west by a line 40 chains due south from the pa; on the south by a line running due east, 120 chains; on the east by a line running northerly to the south-east corner of Section 3.

  2. Hohoura Kauri-gum Reserve: 1,200 acres, more or less. Bounded on the north-east and east by Sections 23 and 24 of Block X., Hohoura East Survey District, commencing at the Kaikatia Trig. Station, and Sections 1 and 2 of Block XI., Hohoura East Survey District; on the south by a line running due west from the south corner of the last-mentioned section 140 chains; towards the west by a line running due north to the intersection of a line running due west from the Kaikatia Trig. Station; and towards the north by that line.

  3. Otaia Kauri-gum Reserve: 1,000 acres, more or less. Bounded on the south by a line running due west from the northern corner of Section 8, Block IV., Rangaunu Survey District, to the western boundary of Block I., Rangaunu Survey District; on the west by the western boundary of the said block, 100 chains; on the north by a line running due east; on the east by a line due south to the starting-point.

  4. Opoe Kauri-gum Reserve: 1,000 acres, more or less. Bounded on the south by a line running due west from western corner of Section 5 of Block V., Opoe Survey District, 100 chains; on the west by a line running due north to Opoe Lake; on the east by Sections 5, 4, and 40 chains of Section 3, Block V.; thence by a line due west to the shore of Opoe Lake, and south-west along the shore of Opoe Lake to the western boundary.

  5. Rotoroa Kauri-gum Reserve: 700 acres, more or less. Bounded on the north by a line running from the eastern corner of Section 4 of Block VIII., Rangaunu Survey District, due east to Section 6, Old Land Claim; on the east by Section 6, Old Land Claim; on the south by Sections 159 and 19 of Block VIII., Rangaunu Survey District, and continuation of the same for about 70 chains; thence by a line being continuation of western boundary of Section 4; on the north-west by Section 4 to the starting-point.

  6. Puketoetoe Kauri-gum Reserve: 1,000 acres, more or less. Bounded on the north by a line from the northern corner-peg of Section 30, Block VIII., Rangaunu Survey District, running due west to the western boundary of Block VIII.; on the west by the western boundary of Block VIII.; on the south by the southern boundary of Block VIII.; on the east by Sections 30, 31, 32, and 33, all of the same block.

  7. Taipa Kauri-gum Reserve: 800 acres, more or less. Bounded on the north by a line from western corner of Pukenui due west to western boundary of Block V., Mangonui Survey District; on the west by a line due south, being the western boundary of Block V. and Sections 1A of Block VIII. and 22 of Mangonui Parish; on the south by Section 144 of parish aforesaid; on the east generally by Sections 134 and 139, and a road, again by Section 139 and Apaterewa Block No. 2B and Apaterewa No. 2A to the starting-point.

  8. Hihi Kauri-gum Reserve: 600 acres, more or less. Bounded on the north by the northern boundary of Block VI., Mangonui Survey District; on the west by Sections 51, 53, 49A, 46A, and 33, all of Parish of Mangonui East; on the south by the Hihi Stream to its junction with the Whakarau Stream; on the east by the Whakarau Stream to the starting-point.

  9. Whakapaku Kauri-gum Reserve: 700 acres, more or less. Bounded on the north-west by Sections 6 and 7 of Whakapaku Parish; on the west by the western boundary of Block II. for about 70 chains from south-western corner of Section 7; on the south by a line running due east to the western boundary of Native land; on the east by Native land and Sections 2 and 1 of Block II., Whangaroa Survey District.

  10. Tongonge Kauri-gum Reserve: 1,024 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north by Crown land and Old Land Claim No. 7 grant to I. Mathews; on the east by a road; on the south by Native land, the Awanui River, and the northern shore of the Tongonge Lake; and towards the north-west by a stream.

  11. Epakauri Kauri-gum Reserve: 1,600 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-west, north-east, and south by Native land, and towards the south-west by the Tasman Sea, being known as the Epakauri Block.

WHANGAROA COUNTY.

  1. Totara Kauri-gum Reserve: 600 acres, more or less. Bounded on the west by the western boundary of Block VI., Whangaroa Survey District; on the south by a road; on the east by Sections 20 and 17 of Totara Parish; on the north by a forest reserve and the Mangataiure Block.

  2. Takou Kauri-gum Reserve: 600 acres, more or less. Bounded on the west generally by the Te Kapa-o-te-Awha Stream, Section 4, Parish of Mahinepua, and a road; on the south by Section 1 of the Parish of Mahinepua and by a line running due east from the north-east corner of the last-named section to the western boundary of Block I., Kerikeri Survey District; on the east by the said Block I. to Native land; and on the north by Native land to the place of commencement.

  3. Omaunu Kauri-gum Reserve: 600 acres, more or less. Bounded on the south-west by a line in continuation of the western boundary of Mining Lease No. 2 and northern boundary of Omaunu No. 1 Block; on the east by a road along western boundary of Education Reserve and Section 30, and by north-western boundary of Sections 30 and 28 of Parish of Matawherohia; on the north by Mining Leases Nos. 7, 5, 4, 3, and 2, Kaeo Survey District.

HOKIANGA COUNTY.

  1. Omahuta Kauri-gum Reserve: 1,000 acres, more or less. Bounded on the north by a line running due east from the north-east corner of Section 1 of Block XV., Maungataniwha Survey District; thence by a line running due south to a point known as Tu Papa, on boundary of Native land, Block III., Mangamuka Survey District; on the south-west by boundary of Native land to Pukekauere; thence by boundary of Omahuta Block No. 3 and Section 1 aforesaid to the starting point.

  2. Warawara Kauri-gum Reserve: 800 acres, more or less. Bounded on the south by Native land No. 3396 (red); on the west by Takarawa and Waikare Native Blocks and Section 1 of Block XIII., Whangape Survey District; on the north-west by Warawara Native Block; on the north by a line running due east 40 chains from the eastern corner of said block; thence by a line to the north-east corner of Native Block 3396.

  3. Mangatoa Kauri-gum Reserve: 1,030 acres, more or less. Bounded on the south by the Pahekeheke Block, Native land; on the east by the Mangatoa Stream; on the north by the southern boundary of Block XIV., Omapere Survey District; on the west by block boundary between Blocks I. and II., Punakitere Survey District.
