NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE ADDITIONAL LAND FOR WATERWORKS.
WHEREAS by a certain notice bearing date the 2nd day of July, 1898, the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Ashburton, hereafter called “the said Corporation,” in pursuance of the provisions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” section 316, and “The Public Works Act, 1894,” gave notice of their intention to take water from the River Ashburton, and to construct certain waterworks for a supply of pure water to the inhabitants of the Borough of Ashburton, and to take certain land therein described for that purpose:
And whereas certain additional land is required to be taken under the provisions of the said Acts for the purpose of constructing the said works:
Notice is hereby given by the said Corporation that, for the purposes of the construction of the said waterworks, the land described in the Schedule hereto is required and is intended to be taken, together with the water-race or channel situate thereon.
