Rural Lands in the Auckland Land District open for Selection on Lease in Perpetuity.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land for Settlements Act, 1894,” and the one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, in the name and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, and as his duly appointed Deputy, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on and after the twenty-second day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight; and that the said lands may be selected on lease in perpetuity, subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892”; and I do hereby declare that the rentals at which the said lands shall be leased shall be those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto opposite the description of such lands respectively.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the eighth section of “The Justices of the Peace Act Amendment Act, 1888,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that

being a person holding the office of Postmaster, under “The Post Office Act, 1881,” at Mangawai, is authorised to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-thirty-fourth section of “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”
